The couple went public with their romance in February after initially meeting online.
Mark Estes wasn't afraid to shoot his shot with his now-girlfriend, Kristin Cavallari. The 24-year-old TikTok star, who is a part of the group The Montana Boyz, opened up about the start of his romance with the 37-year-old reality TV alum when he and the rest of his group appeared on Cavallari's Let's Be Honest podcast this week.
"I thought I was on my own account, but I was on the Montana Boys account, and I DM'd Kristin and I said, 'I love you' right off the bat. So there we go," Estes shared of his initial message to Cavallari.
The Hills alum revealed that prior to the direct message she'd seen The Montana Boyz on TikTok and shared the profile with her friend, commenting on Estes' good looks.
"Three or four weeks later I get a DM from the Montana Boyz that said, 'I love you,' and I'm like, 'Oh my god! It's fate,'" Cavallari shared. "So what do I do because I have no chill, I was like, 'I want to get you guys on my podcast!'"
She added that sparks quickly flew between her and Estes, noting, "Eventually I asked who I was talking to, and he said, 'Mark.' And I said, 'Oh good, you're my favorite.'"
Fellow Montana Boyz member Kade Wilcox shared his reaction to finding a DM from Cavallari, saying, "We got a DM back, and I was the first one to find it. And I was like, 'Who in the hell DM'd Kristin Cavallari on our account because she just responded.'"
Despite initially meaning to DM his now-girlfriend on his own account, Estes is glad things worked out the way they did.
"Thank god I did it on that account," he said.
"I wouldn't have seen it. Because I didn't know your name at the time," Cavallari added.
In addition to Estes and Wilcox, the Montana Boyz also includes Kaleb Winterburn. The group recorded a TikTok with Cavallari celebrating the podcast in which they lip-synced to Luke Combs' "One Number Away" for the camera before Estes grabbed Cavallari around the waist and lifted her in the air.
Cavallari also snapped a mirror selfie with Estes after the podcast dropped, looking glam and ready to hit the town in a black mini-skirt.
In 2020, Cavallari split from Jay Cutler, her ex-husband and the father of her three kids. Since then she's been romantically linked to comedian Jeff Dye, country singer Chase Rice, and Bachelor Nation alum Tyler Cameron.
