Caitlyn was eliminated from the British reality series over the weekend.
Kim Kardashian has confirmed she, nor any of the Kardashian-Jenner family, were invited to Caitlyn Jenner’s elimination from British reality series I’m a Celebrity … Get Me Out of Here.
Caitlyn, 70, was eliminated from the series in Australia over the weekend, and when a fan questioned why no family members were present for the exit, son Brandon Jenner indicated that he believes they were purposely not asked to attend.
“Honestly, nobody reached out to set it up,” Brandon said, according to a screenshot of the conversation published by The Mirror. “I think it might have been a ‘storyline’ the producers wanted to fabricate in order to get more empathy for Caitlyn. That’s how that kind of TV works.”
On Tuesday, Kim Kardashian took to Twitter to back up Brandon’s claims.
“Exactly what Brandon said!!!!” she tweeted. “NO ONE from I’m A Celeb even reached out and asked for letters, appearances or anything from any Kardashians or Jenners.”
Following her exit, Caitlyn opened up about challenging herself throughout the reality stint.
“I came here to kind of test myself, because I did the show 16 years ago,” she said, according to British outlet The Sun. “I knew it wasn’t going to be easy. The first night I didn’t think I’d make it to the next night. I can’t believe I made it all the way to three weeks.”
One person close to Caitlyn who did show up following the exit was close friend and business partner, Sophia Hutchins, who surprised Caitlyn at the Palazzo Versace hotel on Australia’s Gold Coast, after she returned from her elimination.
“When I came out of the jungle, had a lot of friends there, but I had a big surprise when I got to the hotel,” Caitlyn said in an Instagram Story. “Sophia’s here! Yay!”
While it seems they were not invited to the show, Caitlyn’s daughters, Kylie and Kendall, meanwhile still went to great lengths to welcome the star home.
After arriving back in Los Angeles, California, on Monday, Caitlyn got home to find Kendall and Kylie had decorated her house with balloons, including giant letters reading, “Welcome Home.”
“Thank you my baby’s @kendalljenner @kyliejenner,” Caitlyn captioned a photo of the decorations on Instagram.
