ET's source says that Kardashian wants True to 'have her father in her life.'
Khloe Kardashian and Tristan Thompson are putting their daughter first.
A source tells ET that the 34-year-old Keeping Up With the Kardashians star has invited her ex-boyfriend, Thompson, to their daughter, True's, upcoming first birthday party, following his latest cheating scandal. The little one turned 1 on Friday.
"Khloe and the family will be celebrating True's first birthday this weekend," ET's source says. "Although Khloe has been through a lot with Tristan, the addition of True to her life has made this past year the best."
"Khloe always wants True to have her father in her life, so Tristan is invited to be around for the celebration. Khloe will never let her issues with Tristan get in the way of True having a relationship with her dad," the source adds.
Kardashian and Thompson split in February amid rumors that he cheated on her with Kylie Jenner's best friend, Jordyn Woods. Woods, 21, later appeared on Jada Pinkett Smith's Facebook Watch series, Red Table Talk, and admitted she and Thompson kissed at a party, but insisted that nothing further happened. Shortly after the episode debuted, Kardashian blamed Woods for breaking up her family on Twitter, but later backtracked.
"I'm a rollercoaster of emotions & have said things I shouldn’t have," the mom of one wrote. "Honestly, Tristan cheating on me & humiliating me, wasn’t such a shock as the first time. What’s been harder & more painful is being hurt by someone so close to me. Someone whom I love & treat like a little sister. But Jordyn is not to be blamed for the breakup of my family. This was Tristan’s fault. I have to move on with my life & count my blessings, my family, my health, & my beautiful baby True."
A source told ET last month that since Kardashian and Thompson's split, the Good American designer "has True for the majority of the time." "Khloe and Tristan may have their issues, but Khloe will never deny Tristan a chance to spend time with his daughter. Things may change in the future, but for now, Khloe and Tristan are on the same page with True being with Khloe for most of the time," the source said.
"Khloe is getting better with every day that passes," another source later said. "Khloe and Tristan are still communicating and always will. Khloe is very big about 'I'm having the father of her child staying in her life no matter how bad things get.'"
