The comedian also talks to ET about his group chat with other famous action stars.
Kevin Hart is embracing his action side in his new heist movie, Lift! The 44-year-old comedian-actor is engaging in some high-flying stunts for the new Netflix film.
And when it comes to training for the role of Cyrus, Hart says staying in shape was key. Lift is about a master thief and her ex-boyfriend who team up to steal $100 million in gold bullion being transported on a 777 passenger flight.
"I'm a firm believer in if you stay ready, you never have to get ready," Hart tells ET's Rachel Smith at a press day for the film in New York City. "I probably was at four percent body fat through the course of this movie."
Hart -- who has co-starred with other actions stars, including Mark Wahlberg and Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson throughout his career -- says that he keeps in touch with other famous gym buffs in an A-list group chat.
"The conversations of us action guys, we have a group chat. Our group chat is called 'Action Star Gang,'" Hart teases.
Lift, also starring Gugu Mbatha-Raw and Sam Worthington, starts streaming Friday, Jan. 12 on Netflix.
