Day one of Coachella was full of surprises!
Day one of Coachella was full of surprises, as artists like Kendrick Lamar, Jamie Foxx and Carly Rae Jepsen unexpectedly took the stage.
Lamar, who headlined the music festival last year, shocked the crowd when he emerged during SZA's set on Friday. The 30-year-old rapper, who also appeared during Vince Staples' set, joined SZA on stage for her songs "Doves in the Wind" and "All the Stars" -- before her time was cut short.
According to fans, SZA arrived 10 minutes late, and was unable to perform her biggest hit, "The Weekend." "Yo, they cut my songs,” she told the crowd. “I’m sorry, but I’ll make it up to you next week.
Foxx, meanwhile, made an appearance while joining Kygo on stage for the DJ's electrifying set earlier in the night. The 50-year-old actor, looking casual in jeans and a fedora, showed off his pipes during Kygo's remix of Marvin Gaye's "Sexual Healing."
Rita Ora was also a surprise guest during the set, as well as Foxx's daughter, Corinne -- before Foxx reportedly jokingly told her to put some clothes on and cover up, sending her backstage.
And Carly Rae Jepsen showed up halfway through Bleachers' set on Friday evening, singing two songs with the band: "Hate That You Know Me" and "Alfie's Song (Not So Typical Love Song)," which is featured on the Love, Simon soundtrack.
As for Saturday's lineup, fans could not be more excited to see the night's headliner, Beyonce. Find out what to expect from her set in the video below.
