Kelly Rowland shared how Serena Williams and Naomi Campbell inspire her beauty routine at the Shiseido Overnight Self Care Experience.
Beauty BFFs! Kelly Rowland sat down with ET at the Shiseido Overnight Self Care Experience at Equinox Hotel New York in New York City on July 25 to reveal her current beauty routine and how other famous faces influence it.
"I'm 43 now, and I've been in the spotlight and wearing makeup for over 20-something years of my life. I always think about what my skin is going to look like over time and how I can preserve and maintain healthy, glowy skin," the singer said.
Her go-to motto: "The best beauty advice I've received is to moisturize, moisturize, moisturize. That's actually from Serena [Williams] and she's right! ... If you think about anything that looks really beautiful and refined, I don’t care if it’s wood or a plant, everything needs moisture."
To achieve her flawless complexion, Rowland relies on results-driven products that help her feel her best.
"My morning skincare routine is easy. It always has vitamin C and sunscreen. … In the evenings, I really take the time to pour back into myself because I always feel like the day takes all of your energy," she explained.
"I literally do the red light mask every night. … I swear by red light therapy. It is amazing. … I also do three different cleansers, two different serums, a moisturizer, and Shiseido's Benefiance Wrinkle Smoothing Eye Cream. … It helps me look like I got some rest, even if I didn't because I was up all night with my three-year-old," the Destiny's Child member added.
The actress also swears by a well-rounded wellness routine to get her most radiant skin.
"I've tried cryotherapy and definitely ice baths, because yes, anything ice! If it freezes something in place, then it's going to do that same thing in my head, so I go for it. … I also drink a lot of water and get facials with Shani Darden," Rowland spilled.
From there, the GRAMMY Award-winning artist has a clear, luminous base that’s perfect for experimenting with bold beauty looks.
"I like that we're actually revisiting some of the '90s makeup trends. You can leave the brows, it's not my thing, but everything else, like the way Naomi Campbell’s eye makeup was done in the '90s was just so fly. The fact that that’s here is a big one for me," she noted.
