The 50-year-old musician also opened up about his special encounter with Adam Rippon.
That's one way to stop a heckler!
Keith Urban knows just how to put his wife, Nicole Kidman, in her place. During his appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show on Friday, the 50-year-old musician opened up about the special way he stopped his wife's heckling during a recent concert.
"She regrets it now," he confessed. "We were at this Spotify event, where I was just playing a couple songs acoustic off the record, talking about the album. Somebody was asking about this song called 'Parallel Line' in the audience. Ed Sheeran's one of the writers, he plays on it. And I'm talking about the song, and I'm talking, I'm talking. And from the back of the room, this woman goes, 'Play the song!'"
"I was like, I know that voice anywhere, And of course it’s my wife heckling me basically," Urban recalled. "I said, ‘Will you come up and do it with me?’ Which I never thought she would do,” he said. “‘Cause she’s very frustrated, excruciating for her to do that. But she did. She got up and sang it.”
The next day, Urban and Kidman stepped out for a date night at the Time 100 gala in New York City -- where he got up close and personal with Adam Rippon.
“Nic and I love Adam. He’s fantastic,” Urban explained. “So we met him and Nic was talking and she said, ‘Oh my gosh! You smell great, Adam.’ She goes, ‘My husband smells good too. Smell him.’ So Adam leans in, he’s like, ‘He does smell good!'"
ET caught up with Rippon at the event, where he told us all about the exchange. Watch below.
