To promote her upcoming single, 'Woman's World,' Katy Perry left little to the imagination in a patriotic 4th of July look.
Katy Perry takes patriotism to the next level.
In honor of Independence Day and in promotion of her upcoming single, "Woman's World," Perry, 39, took to Instagram on Thursday to share an all-American look in which she stunned in red, white and blue -- and not much else.
"BB UR A FIREWORK 🎆," the singer wrote, adding, "and speaking of work, WOMAN'S WORLD IS GOING TO WORK IN ONE WEEK HAPPY 4TH 🇺🇸."
In the photo, Perry wears a rhinestone American flag bikini while striking a Rosie the Riveter pose. Her sparkly two-piece bathing suit features a revealing star-shaped top with bedazzled red-and-white stripes on one side and a blue background with white stars on the other. The swimsuit connects with white rhinestone-encrusted straps that crisscross at the midriff before plunging down into denim shorts. Perry also rocks a bold red lip, red polka-dot bandana and dangling crystal earrings.
"Woman's World" releases July 11, with its music video debuting the following day. It will be the new single from Perry's forthcoming seventh studio album, which will mark her first album since 2020's Smile. Perry recently unveiled the single's skimpy cover art, which was shot by acclaimed British photographer Jack Bridgland.
Continuing her NSFW streak, the former American Idol judge ditched her shirt in a daring look that showed off her abs at the Balenciaga Haute Couture fall-winter 2024 fashion show last month. The pop star went topless in a bold outfit consisting of ripped pantaleggings and an open long black fur coat that bared her décolleté and torso underneath.
Shortly before, she left little to the imagination during the Vogue World: Paris show when she modeled a Noir Kei Ninomiya gown covered in geometric cutouts, seemingly going nude underneath.
At Paris Fashion Week, Perry also made a style statement with her "Woman's World" lyrics. She turned heads at the Haute Couture Fall/Winter 2024/25 show in a red Balenciaga gown with a 100-yard train that featured lyrics from her new single.
In May, Perry signed off as a judge on American Idol after appearing on the panel for eight seasons. "Well, everybody's sad," she told ET at the time. "I'm like, it's not like I'm dying! I'm just going to see you on tour."
Perry is clearly focused on making a music comeback -- and she isn't shy to do so in style.
