The former 'Dawson's Creek' star is celebrating her daughter's big day.
Happy birthday, sweet Suri Cruise!
Katie Holmes shared a precious black-and-white picture to Instagram on Wednesday morning of her daughter on her 12th birthday.
The pretty pre-teen can be seen gazing down, while wearing a light jacket and a sparkling "happy birthday" tiara in honor of her special day. Holmes, who divorced Suri's dad Tom Cruise in 2012, captioned the snap with a series of pink heart emojis, totaling 12 tiny hearts.
It will be tough to top Suri's 11th birthday last year, as the 39-year-old actress celebrated the big day at the beach where the two went parasailing with family.
The former Dawson's Creek star recently shared with Women's Health that her role as a mom is heavily influenced by memories from her own childhood.
"My mother was always taking me to the art museum, and to theater," she recalled. "That part of my life was really inspired by her."
Holmes, who recently celebrated the 20th anniversary of Dawson's Creek with a photo shoot for Entertainment Weekly, added that she tends to keep off social media as much as she can, as she often finds herself competing with other parents.
"Like, that one has taken her child to Morocco, why haven't I taken my child to Morocco?" she joked.
