The results will be shared on Tuesday's episode of 'Jimmy Kimmel Live!'
Good friends will always be by your side through the hard times.
And, when you’re late-night talk show host Jimmy Kimmel, they’ll also be there as you undergo your first colonoscopy!
ET obtained a sneak peek at Tuesday’s episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live!, in which the 50-year-old television personality is accompanied by veteran news anchor Katie Couric while experiencing his first colonoscopy.
The two were filmed in a hospital room at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, California, with Couric wearing Kimmel’s show merchandise while sitting at his bedside as he lies down in a hospital gown.
“So, we’re going to take a careful look in your colon and the goal is to identify polyps, so if we see any polyps we’ll remove them,” Dr. Christina Ha explains about the procedure, which helps detect abnormalities of the colon, such as cancer.
“And then I can have them?” Kimmel quips back. “Whatever is in there, I need. I want all the pieces.”
Couric then asks the doctor why she thinks more people don’t get screened, to which Kimmel immediately declares, “Because they go up your a**, that’s why!”
In another preview clip from the episode, Kimmel takes a good-humored dig at Couric for accompanying him to the appointment.
“I’m telling you, I’ve met some real perverts in my life, but you take the cake Katie Couric,” he says. “It’s a very unusual sexual thing.”
“It’s not sexual,” she replies with a laugh.
Kimmel will discuss the results on Tuesday’s episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live!, airing at 11:35/10:35c on ABC.
