As the Duchess of Cambridge celebrates her birthday, look forward at her exciting year.
Happy Birthday Your Royal Highness! Kate Middleton turns 36 on Tuesday, and to celebrate we’re looking forward to the exciting year the Duchess of Cambridge has ahead.
It’s a big year both in her personal life and in her professional work as a royal. In addition to dazzling us all with her chic maternity wear, Kate will also be celebrating the birth of her third child, a royal wedding, and some exciting public appearances.
Here’s what she can expect in 2018:
Baby Bliss
Baby No. 3 is due to arrive this spring! Middleton is currently expected to give birth to her third child this April. No doubt Prince George and Princess Charlotte will make the perfect older siblings. The baby’s gender is still a mystery, so put your bets in now!
Sister-in-Law!
After walking down the aisle herself in 2011, Kate will take a backseat on May 19 at the wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. The highly anticipated event will likely be Kate’s first official outing after giving birth to her third child the month before. Kate previously gushed about Meghan and Harry’s engagement in November, saying, “William and I are absolutely thrilled. It’s such exciting news.”
Royal Tour
Not exactly a babymoon, but hey, it counts! Kate Middleton and Prince William are jetting off at the end of this month for the Royal Tour of Norway and Sweden. The couple will be gone from Jan. 30 through Feb. 2, nearing the start of her third trimester.
Charity Events
New year, new responsibilities! This year Kate and William will be helping out Queen Elizabeth more than ever. The couple are already patrons to several prestigious organizations, including Wimbledon, but with Prince Philip’s recent retirement, they will step in to pick up even more of the duties.
