Kanye West for President?
Kanye West for President?
The rapper continued to tease his foray into politics on yet another Twitter rant on Tuesday, tweeting "2024." He followed up the tweet with "spread love," then later called out TMZ founder Harvey Levin, writing, "Your hearing from your future president."
"When we become president we have to change the name of the plane from Air Force one to Yeezy force one," he also wrote.
According to multiple outlets, on Monday, the 40-year-old rapper tweeted, but then deleted, a photo featuring “Keep America Great” posters with his picture on them and the hashtag #Kanye2024. Twitter users have been sharing photos of the posters, which have popped up in Los Angeles, New York City and his hometown, Chicago.
Of course, this isn't the first time West has talked about plans for a presidential run. In 2015, he infamously announced that he planned to run for president in 2020 during his epic speech at the MTV Video Music Awards.
"The whole point is to have someone [in office] that's creative, that's around amazing creatives," he later told Vanity Fair. "This is my theory: I think the world can be helped through design, so it's very important that I stay around creative, forward thinkers."
"I hate politics. I'm not a politician at all," he added. "I care about the truth and I just care about human beings. I just want everyone to win, that's all I can say, and I think we can."
West has been in the headlines lately after reactivating his Twitter account earlier this month and posting philosophical thoughts, that even wife Kim Kardashian West has poked fun at. On Tuesday, a source told ET that the rapper has split from his manager, Scooter Braun, but the two "are still close."
"I no longer have a manager," West confirmed on Twitter on Wednesday. "I can't be managed. I'm nobody's 'client.'"
The source also told ET that while recent reports have claimed that the rapper has been acting erratically while allegedly fighting with his mother-in-law, Kris Jenner, the pair couldn't be on better terms. According to the source, all is well between West and his wife as well.
"She doesn't try to control him," the source said of Kardashian West's attitude towards her controversial husband. "She understands him and what he does and why he does it. She's fully supportive of him."
Things certainly appear to be just fine between the two on social media. On Sunday, Kardashian West shared a topless photo of herself in bed, taken by West.
