Josh Hall 'Blindsided' and 'Heartbroken' by Christina Hall Divorce Filing, Source Says

Christina Hall filed for divorce on July 16 and later filed documents claiming Josh diverted thousands of dollars from their accounts.

Christina Hall and Josh Hall's divorce drama continues, with a source telling ET that Josh was "blindsided" by his wife's decision to file for divorce on July 16.

"[Josh] is heartbroken," the source says. "Like all marriages, there were rough patches, but he never thought they would end in divorce. He was committed to her and their family."

Meanwhile on Friday, Josh was spending "a little Nashville time with my friends," posting a photo to his Instagram story promoting a new episode of his podcast with recent Republican National Convention speakers Amber Rose and Candace Owens.

The new source information comes days after Christina filed legal court documents in which she claimed Josh diverted more than $35,000 of her money from rental property income into his personal Wells Fargo bank account.

She claimed Josh, 43, contacted her professional property manager via text on July 8 and stated, "Hi. For June payments, can we please get it sent to a different account when it's time? Thank you." Christina, who attached a screenshot of the purported text as an exhibit to her filing, further stated she learned about this on July 21.

In her divorce docs, Christina listed the date of the couple's separation as July 7. So, in her financial accusations against Josh, she further claimed she "had no personal contact with Josh on July 8, 2024" and "would not have asked him to send himself my money the day after I told him we are getting divorced."

On Thursday, Christina took to her Instagram Stories to seemingly call out her ex and his alleged actions.

"I have worked my a** off to build this life for myself and my children and anyone who would try and take what they do not deserve/what they did NOT work for should be ashamed," she wrote.

After referring to her estranged husband as "an insecure man with a large ego," Christina added, "For those that aren't aware... divorces do not happen overnight..& there is always a breaking point. This one is personal."

She also predicted that Josh's response might include a "hired PR speech about 'how I was blindsided.'"

"Meanwhile I'm over here not as nice and quiet as I used to be," Christina wrote.

Christina and Josh's romance began in 2021, the same year that she divorced Ant Anstead. Her and Ant share a 4-year-old son, Hudson. Christina was also married to Tarek El Moussa from 2009 to 2018, and they are parents to Taylor, 13, and Brayden, 8.

Two months before Christina's latest divorce filing, it was announced that she and Josh would be teaming up with Tarek and his wife, Heather Rae El Moussa, for HGTV's new show, The Flip Off. The program was slated to pit the couples against each other to see who can find, buy, renovate and flip a house for the biggest financial gain.

In the wake of the divorce news, ET learned that The Flip Off is still set to move forward. According to one person close to The Flip Off production, the show only recently started filming scenes "a few weeks ago" and the team behind the series is still "figuring out what the plan is moving forward."
