While it's sure to be a big finale, many fans were livid that 'The Voice' promised a BTS announcement, than didn't come through.

The season 16 finale of The Voice is right around the corner and some of music's biggest stars are going to be stopping by to perform live!

As the show teased on Monday, the Jonas Brothers appeared -- via a pre-taped message -- to announce that they will be hitting The Voice stage next week.

"Major breaking news, you ready?" Kevin said excitedly. "Joe, Nick and I, the Jonas Brothers, we will be singing our new single, 'Cool,' on the live Voice finale!"

"It's gonna be an epic night of music," Nick added. "Don't miss it. See ya!"

Following the Jonas Brothers' message, host Carson Daly also dropped some big news (with surprisingly little fanfare).

"If that wasn't enough news… Taylor Swift is also going to be here with Brendon Urie of Panic! And they're gonna do their new hit, 'ME!'" Daly declared.

Strangely, The Voice had not promoted the news of Swift's involvement in the finale, but instead posted that the Jonas Brothers and k-pop megastars BTS would be making announcements on Tuesday's results show.

While the Jonas Brothers came through, there was no mention of BTS during the episode at all, and the glaring omission wasn't mentioned on the show's social media accounts.

Needless to say, the BTS Army had some real strong feelings about this, with many accusing The Voice of "catfishing" and false advertising.

It's unclear at this point why The Voice seemingly changed course regarding their involvement -- or if Swift's previously unannounced performance is possibly related to BTS having to drop out at the last minute.

Meanwhile, Tuesday's show also marked the end of the road for half of the show's Top 8, with four contestants sent home, and four advancing to the season finale.

Kim Cherry and Carter Lloyd Horne from Blake Shelton's team were sent packing, alongside Shawn Sounds, of John Legend's team, and Kelly Clarkson's final hopeful, Rod Stokes.

Meanwhile, three members of Team Blake, Dexter Roberts, Gyth Rigdon, and Andrew Sevener, moved on to the final four, leaving Maelyn Jarmon of Team John the last finalist who could possibly bring down Shelton's singers during next week's live spectacular.
