The actor spoke with ET about his new animated comedy series, which premieres Feb. 18 on Fox.
Jon Hamm is headed to the world of animation with his new comedy series Grimsburg, and he's getting a chance to reunite with his former Mad Man co-star Christina Hendricks.
Hamm recently spoke with ET's Cassie DiLaura while promoting his new series, where he opened up about working with Hendricks again, and what he likes about voicing an animated character.
"There might be some recognizable voices in the show that you hear," Hamm said coyly, when asked about the Mad Men connection. "I always find that really fun, when you have little easter eggs that show up."
As always, whenever any sort of reunion comes around fans start clamoring for a proper cast reunion -- or possibly a revival. And when it comes to Mad Men, Hamm says he understands the nostalgia.
"It's been a long time. It's almost 20 years since Mad Men started, which is crazy," Hamm said. "Which means I'm getting older too."
While Hamm says that it would all be up to Mad Men creator Matthew Weiner, who would "have to be on board with any kind of reunion," he's not opposed to the possibility.
"I've been around this business long enough to never say never," Hamm added. "So, I will never say never. But we'll see."
As for his work on Grimsburg, Hamm said he's been having a great time working on the animated series, which follows an over-the-top gritty detective solving crimes in the fictional town of Grimsburg.
"I think the best part of it is seeing truly how many hands go into making this and how many steps you have to go through," he explained. "We've been working on this show for the better part of three years and it's just now coming out."
"So there's a lot of trust," Hamm added. "And you hope that it's going to come out the way you think, it's gonna look and the way you think... and and there's a lot of decisions that have to be made between here and there... [and] I'm incredibly pleased with all of the decisions that led up to this."
"And part of the attraction, I think, of the show, is that there's an element of the macabre, and it's very sort of dark and creepy, in a funny way," Hamm shared. "So, that's kind of what we're going for. And I think that there's a lot of room to play in that space."
Grimsburg premieres Feb. 18 on Fox.
