The R&B singer is learning how to swim for the first time.
John Legend has enlisted a former Olympian to help him learn to swim.
On Monday, Ryan Lochte and the 40-year-old R&B singer both shared photos and videos on Instagram of their time in the pool. "Not a bad way to start my week," Lochte, a 12-time Olympic medalist, captioned a post of his afternoon. "Swimming with @johnlegend giving him some swim tips and getting him ready for 2020 Olympics haha!"
Legend also shared the video of himself, wearing goggles, and his overly qualified swim teacher doing laps, and also made a joke about him training for next year's Summer Olympics. Also in the video, you can see Legend and Chrissy Teigen's 2-year-old daughter, Luna, cheering her dad on in a smaller pool.
In January, Teigen proudly posted a video of one of her husband's first swim lessons, gushing: "Adult swim with @kidswimla - so proud!!!"
She also admitted to one fan that the reason the post had no sound was because she was "cheering too loudly."
Earlier that week, Legend revealed to his Twitter followers that he never learned to swim. "Today I took my first swim lesson since I was like five," he wrote. "My dad learned in his 60's so I feel like I'm ahead of schedule."
As for the couple's two children, Luna and Miles, Legend told a Twitter user that they already started their swim lessons "months ago."
It's never too early or too late to start something new! Here's more with the famous family:
