Her oldest kids, Maxwell and Ace, helped show off her new book.
Jessica Simpson has the best marketing team! The 39-year-old designer and musician took to social media on Wednesday to share the new cover of her book with a little help from her two oldest kiddos.
"I can’t believe this day is finally here! This is the cover of Open Book, my memoir, which is coming out Feb. 4. This book has been both the hardest and most rewarding experience of my career so far. I can’t wait to share it with you," Simpson captioned a shot of herself and her 6-year-old son, Ace and 7-year-old daughter, Maxwell, holding up her black-and-white book cover, which features a smiling photo of the mother of three.
Simpson announced she was coming out with a memoir in July. According to the book's official description, Simpson will reveal "new parts of herself for the first time," including opening up about her struggles. Topics will include her memorable 2003 MTV television show, Newlyweds, with her now ex-husband, Nick Lachey, and their highly publicized split in 2005, as well as "starring on the big screen and topping the Billboard charts, finding new love, raising a family, and running a successful business empire."
"Her new book will be a candid, inspiring, and behind-the-scenes look at how she chose to learn from each difficult moment, evolve musically, become a more fearless businesswoman, and consistently shatter all expectations of who she was 'supposed' to be," the description reads.
It's been a busy year for Simpson, who welcomed her third child, daughter Birdie, in March with husband Eric Johnson. She also shed an impressive 100 pounds and released a new collection from her clothing line.
In October, ET's Nischelle Turner spoke with Simpson's trainer, Harley Pasternak, about the designer's workout routine.
"She lost the weight because of everything she did when she wasn't in the gym. Of the 168 hours of the week, she's only working out around three of those," he revealed.
He added that Simpson is walking 12,000 steps a day.
"After she gave birth, we kind of had to work up to that," Pasternak said. "We went from four, to six, eight, ten and then to twelve. And there are some days she knocks out fourteen."
