'Jersey Shore's Ronnie Ortiz-Magro Says There's 'No Bad Blood' With Sammi 'Sweetheart' Giancola (Exclusive)

Sammi explained on Instagram on Friday that she chose not to return to 'Jersey Shore Family Vacation' because she wanted to avoid 'toxic situations.'

Sammi "Sweetheart" Giancola didn't return for Jersey Shore Family Vacation, but Ronnie Ortiz-Magro says it wasn't because of him.

ET's Katie Krause spoke with Ronnie as he promoted the show at Hyde Sunset in Los Angeles on Thursday, where he insisted that he and Sammi are on good terms.

"No bad blood," he said. 'I'm supporting everything she does."

"Me and Sammi have been done for about three years. I've done a single show, Famously Single, I had multiple relationships. We ended on a term that it is what it is, and she chose to move on in a chapter in her life that did not choose Jersey Shore," Ronnie explained. "I chose Jersey Shore, and we all support her as a group."

"Whatever makes her happy, makes her happy," he continued. "I can't judge her for it."

Sammi took to Instagram on Friday to share a message about why she didn't return for the Jersey Shore reboot, writing that she's "at a completely different place in my life right now focusing on my businesses and relationship."

"I am not the same person as I was when I was 22," she said. "At 31, I am currently extremely happy in every aspect of my life and want to avoid potentially toxic situations," she continued, before thanking Jersey Shore "and everything it has brought to me."

While speaking with ET on Thursday, Deena Cortese said she tried her hardest to get Sammi to join the show. "She's really happy, and she was nervous to come back in the house, and live, like, in the past with toxic stuff," Deena shared. "So I get it."

"But we're hoping it's going to be a different format this next time, so we're hoping maybe she will come in. I'm going to keep trying," she added, before gushing over Sammi's relationship with her new boyfriend, Christian Biscardi. "She is so in love. I hope she is [going to get engaged soon]."

Ronnie, meanwhile, is just days away from welcoming his first child with girlfriend Jen Harley, but said he's not exactly ready to put a ring on it.

"One step at a time. The next ring I'm gonna buy her is a teething ring," he joked. "I feel like marriage is a big pressure on some people... It's like, if I love you, you love me, let's enjoy our lives."

Ronnie seemed to enjoy his life a little too much while filming Jersey Shore Family Vacation, opening up to ET about a possible cheating scandal teased in the show's trailer.

"You'll see how it plays out throughout the season. I put myself in certain situations, no pun intended, but it's how you come out of the situation. It's what you do at the end, and it's like, you do certain things that you know you're gonna get ratings," he said.

"I told [Jen] everything that has happened. There's nothing that has happened that I'm regrettable about," he said. "You know, sh*t happens... but at the end, you know, what's up, and what's really important."

Jersey Shore Family Vacation premieres April 5 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on MTV.
