Jennifer Lopez celebrats the anniversary of her Spanish song, 'Cambia El Paso,' amid Ben Affleck marriage rumors.
Jennifer Lopez is looking back at a seemingly telling song amid speculation about the state of her marriage to Ben Affleck. On Sunday, the 54-year-old triple threat took to Instagram to share a clip of the music video for her Spanish song, "Cambia El Paso."
The song was released in 2021 and was rumored to be about Lopez's broken engagement to Alex Rodriguez.
According to the translation of several of the lyrics, Lopez sings, "Now he wants fire between his lips/ He doesn't deserve to have her in his arms/ She knows it, she knows it."
The song title, "Cambia El Paso," translates to "change the step."
Lopez goes on to sing in Spanish, "Her life is better now without him."
The pop star marked the anniversary of the dance-happy track by sharing footage from the music video both in a post and on her Instagram Story.
This music video comes weeks after Lopez returned from her solo European getaway, and after spending the Fourth of July in the Hamptons, seemingly without Affleck.
As speculation over their relationship status continues, a source told ET that Affleck and Lopez are not blind to the hyper focus on clues to the health of their marriage, noting, "Ben and Jen are aware that their fans are paying attention to see if they're wearing their rings or not."
The high level of wedding ring scrutiny comes amid rumors that their marriage is on the rocks.
The pair -- who tied the knot in a Las Vegas ceremony in July 2022 -- have faced months of reports that they're heading for a breakup. However, Affleck and Lopez are have tried their best to present a united front.
At the end of May, a source close to the couple told ET that Affleck and Lopez are all too aware of their issues and are desperately trying to save their marriage.
"Ben and Jen don't want to get divorced," the source said, adding that the pair "are saying they won't, but their relationship is simply not working at this point. They aren't done yet and want to fix things because they love each other, but they are also both unhappy."
And ET learned last month that the couple is quietly trying to sell the $60.8 million estate that they bought together in May 2023.
Additionally, Lopez revealed in late May that she would not be embarking on her previously announced 30+ city tour, This Is Me... Live, in support of her new album, This Is Me... Now.
Lopez expressed her apologies in a message to her fans via her OntheJLO newsletter on May 31.
"I am completely heartsick and devastated about letting you down," she wrote. "Please know that I wouldn't do this if I didn't feel that it was absolutely necessary. I promise I will make it up to you and we will all be together again. I love you all so much. Until next time..."
A source told ET at the time that the singer canceled her tour because "she wants to focus on her family and the stress from it has been a lot for her."
