Jennifer Lopez is soaking in time with her 16-year-old children after ringing in her 55th birthday without husband Ben Affleck.
Jennifer Lopez's heart is full. The 55-year-old mom of two paid tribute to her children in a touching new post, sharing new photos of her 16-year-old twins, Max and Emme.
In the first pic, which appears to have been taken on Lopez's July 24th birthday, the performer poses with Max's arm wrapped around her as she smiles at him. In the next image, Lopez and Emme put their heads together for a selfie. Lopez added in one throwback photo of the twins -- whom she has long referred to as "coconuts" -- at the end of her carousel.
"My whole heart 💚," she captioned the shots.
Lopez shares Maximilian and Emme with her ex-husband, Marc Anthony.
The family time comes amid signs of marital strain with her now-husband, Ben Affleck. The pair has been going through relationship woes as of late, even celebrating their two-year wedding anniversary apart earlier this month.
Affleck was also notably absent from Lopez's Bridgerton-themed birthday bash in the Hamptons.
Last week, a source told ET that the iconic pop star "is doing her best to stay positive and focus on the great things in her life" amid ongoing rumors that she and Affleck are headed toward divorce.
"It has been a hard year with some unexpected realizations, changes, and obstacles, but Jen is trying to view her 55th birthday as a fresh start," the source added. "She is trying not to let her situation with Ben bring her down."
On her birthday, Lopez stepped out to visit Candy Kitchen in Bridgehampton, New York, alongside Max and a male friend, an eyewitness told ET.
"She was with a guy friend who was wearing a birthday tiara and Max. J.Lo was in a green dress and rode her bike to and from there," the eyewitness said. "Max arrived in a car driven by a female friend and left in the car. He walked out before J.Lo."
"J.Lo looked happy and content," the eyewitness added. "A fan shouted out to wish her a happy birthday and she thanked them. J.Lo and her other friend then rode away on their bikes."
In a message posted for her fans, Lopez was full of gratitude for their ongoing support.
"It’s hard to believe we have spent all this time together. It’s funny as I sit here contemplating on the most extraordinary journey I still feel like the same girl starting out so full of energy and bravado, so ready to take on the whole world on the outside and yet so tender, fragile and sometimes frightened but always full of love on the inside," she wrote.
"I have so much love for you. I want you to know on my birthday that YOU are my biggest gift," she continued. "Besides my family and friends, you have always been there for me in the good times and in the tough times. I can always count on you. And I want you to know that you can always count on me."
