Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck have been facing breakup rumors for more than a month.
Amid their apparent trouble in paradise, Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck are "trying to be as amicable as possible," a source tells ET.
"They still want the best for everyone involved," the source says, "including their kids, the rest of their families, and shared friends." Their blended family includes Lopez's two kids with ex-husband Marc Anthony, and Affleck's three kids with ex-wife Jennifer Garner.
As confusion continues over their relationship status, fans and critics alike have kept their eyes peeled for signs of what is going on between them, including if either star is not wearing their wedding ring. According to the source, that hyperfocus is not lost on Lopez or Affleck.
Says the source, "Ben and Jen are aware that their fans are paying attention to see if they're wearing their rings or not."
Most recently on Wednesday, Affleck was spotted wearing his wedding band while outside in Los Angeles. It's possible he and Lopez saw each other as she arrived to Affleck's office building around noon and was photographed leaving the parking garage in a car at 5 p.m. while Affleck arrived earlier and left later.
Meanwhile, it's clear Lopez is back from her European vacation after traveling to Italy and France without Affleck earlier in the month. The pop star announced the cancellation of her summer This Is Me... Live tour in late May with Live Nation representatives saying in a statement that she was "taking time off to be with her children, family and close friends."
"Jen loves vacationing in Europe during the summer. It's been nice for her to experience a change of pace and have some breathing room," a source previously told ET. "She has been having a blast with her friends. They love to go to fun dinners, have late nights, lay out in the sun, get dressed up, dance, and shop."
Added the source, "That's never really been Ben’s scene, even when he and Jen weren't having any issues. Jen isn't letting the fact that Ben's not there bring her down."
