The 51-year-old actor has 'a ton of baby gear' after welcoming his own daughter, George, in February.
Jeffrey Dean Morgan isn't planning on going shopping for a baby gift for Dwayne Johnson.
ET's Nancy O'Dell caught up with the 51-year-old actor at the junket for his new film, Rampage, in Los Angeles on Thursday, where he revealed why having a baby girl comes in handy when your co-star about to have one too.
Morgan and Hilarie Burton, just welcomed their second child together, daughter George, on Feb. 16. Johnson, meanwhile, is expecting his third daughter (and second with girlfriend Lauren Hashian).
"He's having a baby in like, a week!" Morgan told ET. "I got a ton of baby gear! I just had a baby like, six weeks ago! So I'm hip. I think I I've got stuff that I haven't opened."
"Yeah, I'm gonna re-gift," he joked. "It's gonna say, 'My dad is Negan!'"
Morgan, of course, is used to playing the bad guy, Negan, on The Walking Dead, and his role in Rampage doesn't appear to be much different. The actor plays Agent Harvey Russell in the movie, against John's Davis Okoye, a primatologist trying to save his beloved silverback gorilla, George, and other mutated animals from destroying most of America.
"Because he is able to make fun of himself a little bit, I think that it makes us love him," Morgan raved of Johnson in the film. "I mean he's obviously huge and a big muscly dude, but I think... it helps so much if the action star can be relatable."
"It's kind of who he is in real life," he continued. "No one does what he does... in this world of action, which has kind of propelled him to the top of this world."
Rampage hits theaters on April 13.
