Jagged Edge's Brandon Casey Hospitalized With Multiple Injuries After Car Crash: 'Should Be Dead'

Brandon Casey, a singer in the R&B group Jagged Edge, revealed that he was nearly killed in a car crash last week.

Singer Brandon Casey, one member of the R&B group Jagged Edge, is opening up about almost losing his life in a horrific car crash that sent him to the ICU.

Casey, 48, took to Instagram on Tuesday to share a message of gratitude and details of his near-death experience, alongside a photo of his patient sheet at the hospital.

"I have to send a big Thanku to @grady.hospital after bein in iCU for five days I kno the legendary Grady Trauma Center is everything it's said to Be the Best in the country yall saved my life and I'm forever grateful," Casey wrote. "I'm so Thankful to all u ladies who took care of me who have nursed me fed me encouraged me Thankyou from the bottom of my heart the most sincere Thanku I can conjure up."

The singer went on to break down the specifics of his hospitalization, explaining, "I kno people wanna kno so here it is Broken neck 5 broke ribs skull fracture scalp lacerations and a bunch of pain all over my body."

"But ima be good I promise yall God got me it's like sumthin tryna take me off this planet and god keep tellin em nope not him not yet," he continued. "All praises to the most high most awesome most wonderful God Thanku lord!!!! From ur loyal soldier."

Several hours later, Casey shared a photo of the aftermath of his car crash and the stunning damage dealt to his car.

"I never post these type pictures upon delivering the news that I been hurt cuz the people who really love me don't play about me and I don't wanna add to they fright of how I may be doin but ima jus post this jus so u kno neither wreck was a fender Bender," he wrote.

"I could be probably should be dead," he added. "Oh except the Big fact that God does protect his Flock."

This is the second major car accident Casey has lived through in less than a year.

Back in September 2023, the singer took to Instagram to share a photo of another car he totaled while driving and how close he came to getting killed.

"When u kno god got u thru it you gotta say Thanku u gotta feel gratitude not jus speak it Thanku Father I kno I wouldn't b here without ur grace and mercy I'll prolly never be the same but I'm so grateful I'm here Thanku Jesus !!!!" he captioned the post at the time.

Casey is a founding member of Jagged Edge, alongside his twin brother, Brian Casey. The group also includes Richard Wingo and Kyle Norman.

The band released their debut album, A Jagged Era, in 1997, and they've gone on to release 10 studio albums in total -- most recently in 2020 with A Jagged Love Story.
