The actor hosts the show this Saturday, with musical guest Reneé Rapp.
Saturday Night Live enthusiasts are gearing up for another entertaining episode as Jacob Elordi steps into the spotlight as the host for this week's show.
The Euphoria actor has taken on the challenge of leading the iconic late-night sketch comedy show and follows in the footsteps of recent SNL hosts like Timothée Chalamet and Adam Driver.
In a newly released promo, Elordi, however, appears to be grappling with the enormity of hosting SNL, showcasing a humorous side of the actor rarely seen.
The promo features Elordi alongside musical guest Reneé Rapp, who is currently dazzling audiences as Regina George in the new iteration of Mean Girls. Elordi, seemingly nervous, is depicted struggling with the basics of navigating the SNL stage.
The 26-year-old can be seen seeking assistance to descend the stairs from the main door to the front of the platform. Just when it seems like he's gained confidence, Elordi takes a comical tumble, adding a touch of slapstick humor to the promo's conclusion.
Elordi has been making waves in the entertainment industry as of late, with notable performances in drama Saltburn, alongside Barry Keoghan, and his portrayal of Elvis Presley in Sofia Coppola's Priscilla.
Fans of the actor can also look forward to his return in the upcoming third season of the critically acclaimed series Euphoria, where he plays the character Nate Jacobs.
Rapp will be gracing the SNL stage as the musical guest. Having also played Mean Girls' Regina George on Broadway, Rapp brings a unique blend of acting and musical talent to the show.
Audiences can also expect a captivating performance from the actress when she returns, albeit in a reduced capacity, in the third season of HBO Max's The Sex Lives of College Girls.
Las Sunday, Elordi's Saltburn co-star, Carey Mulligan, chatted with ET at the 29th Annual Critics Choice Awards, where the actress reacted to Elordi's SNL hosting debut and praised his comedic skills ahead of the gig.
"[He's] very funny and very silly, and such a sweetheart, I mean literally the sweetest boy, I love him, I love him. When I met him, I didn’t know he would be so nice because in Euphoria he’s so terrifying, but he’s the best, he’s going to crush it," Mulligan said.
SNL airs this Saturday at 11:30 p.m. ET/8:30 p.m. PT on NBC and streams live on Peacock.
