Joey Graziadei also reacted to his future father-in-law's potential appearance on the show.
Kelsey Anderson is all for her dad appearing on The Golden Bachelorette! ET's Denny Directo spoke with Kelsey and her fiancé, Joey Graziadei, after they got engaged on the season finale of The Bachelor, but it wasn't just their happy news that fans were excited about.
After Kelsey's Hometown date in New Orleans, Louisiana, viewers quickly took a liking to the junior project manager's dad, Mark. That appreciation was only amplified during Monday's live finale, when Mark appeared in the audience in support of his daughter.
"I did not predict this," Kelsey told ET of her dad's popularity. "It's hilarious. My brother keeps telling my dad that he's jealous. I did not predict it, but it makes so much sense to me. My dad's so amazing. I think he deserves all of this hype."
As for how Mark, a widower, feels about the attention, Kelsey admitted that he's "definitely kind of weird about it."
Kelsey noted that she tried to ease her dad into the spotlight by making his Instagram public "so everyone can see his ocean pictures that he takes." If her dad ever starts posting thirst traps, though, Kelsey joked, "I'm gonna have to put it back on private."
During the finale, franchise host Jesse Palmer hinted that Mark may just wind up on TV again, prompting many to cross their fingers for him to appear on the inaugural season of The Golden Bachelorette.
"I think that could be a possibility," Kelsey said. "I think we're still trying to talk him into it. It's a weird concept to him, but he sees how successful Joey and I are, so I think he's open to it. I think it'd be a good push for him."
While The Golden Bachelorette's first-ever leading lady has yet to be announced, many assume that it will be a woman who appeared on Gerry Turner's season of The Golden Bachelor.
"I think there's so many amazing women from that season," Kelsey said. "It's really hard to narrow it down. I think Joan has a really great story. She's also a widow. Leslie, I've really got to connect with and she's an amazing woman as well. All of the women, they're just hilarious, they have such big personalities."
As Mark considers whether or not to embark on his own reality TV journey, he got some advice from his future son-in-law.
"I told Mark to watch out. I prepped him," Joey told ET. "I was like, 'Hey, these women are excited to see you, more than anyone else I'm sure.'"
