The couple are serious superfans of the HBO series.
Dax Shepard and Kristen Bell just spent some time in Westeros!
On Sunday, the celebrity couple celebrated the return of Game of Thrones with an elaborate viewing party in honor of the show's final season. Bell took to Instagram following the bash to give fans a peek inside their impressive theme soiree.
For the special occasion, the couple hung banners and prepared food including Arya's House of Frey Pot Pies, Hodoritos and Dragon Slop. The pair also dressed the parts, with Bell donning a skintight dragon costume complete with wings and Shepard relegated to a wheelchair as he posed with the whites of his eyes showing to make a very believable Bran.
"Maximum effort on #GOT night," Bell captioned the shots. "FOR THE THRONE!!"
Bell decided to keep her costume on the next morning, even wearing it to work, where she's currently filming her sitcom, The Good Place. In a funny clip posted to Instagram, Bell spins around showing off the full effect of her costume, which includes a figurine on her back.
"A #GoodPlace morning: Keeping the THRONE ALIVE at 6 a.m. the morning after!!!" she captioned the video.
During Monday night's episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live, Shepard gave fans even more insight into the party, explaining that Bell did most of the planning.
"My wife plans all the costumes. She handles all of that," Shepard said. "She said to me, 'Hey, Sunday you're in a wheelchair.' And then she started moving about the area and I go, 'What do you mean I'm in a wheelchair on Sunday?' She's like, 'Costume mandatory. You're the three-eyed raven, you're Bran, so you'll be in a wheelchair.' And I was like, 'Alright. I guess I'll be in a wheelchair.'"
Bell rented the wheelchair for the party, but it didn't have quite the realistic effect she had anticipated.
"I have spent so much time in wheelchairs... because they're so fun and I'm a daredevil and I've gotten real proficient at it. So this whole thing backfired on her because I'm supposed to just be [still], but no! I'm in the kitchen doing wheelies and then I'm spinning... I'm putting on a real show," Shepard said. "And it got away from her and I."
Despite his costume not being totally believable, Shepard gushed that it was "a really fun party" and "a great episode" of the series.
Bell and Shepard are known superfans of the HBO series. The couple attended the premiere in 2016, where they sported temporary tattoos and themed T-shirts. For the season seven premiere a year later, they hosted a party with themed food, including Wilding Wings and Dragon Eggs.
When ET caught up with Shepard following his 2017 bash, he revealed that The Hound is his favorite character and he'd like to bring Ned Stark back to life. He also had some predictions about Emilia Clarke's character, Khaleesi.
"I think Khaleesi is going to be on the Iron Throne because she's the Mother of Dragons," he said. "If you've got dragons, I think s**t is going to go your way."
Game of Thrones airs Sundays on HBO.
