It was the song that never was -- but now Idina Menzel is giving it some shine!

On Tuesday, the actress treated her Instagram followers to a hidden gem from the 2007 film, Enchanted -- a song that was cut from the movie that she sings with co-star James Marsden.

In the clip, Menzel's character, Nancy Tremaine, gets fitted for a missing shoe by Marsden's Prince Edward. After the perfect match, the pair launches into a string-led duet about the perfect timing of the events that brought them together in the magical world.

Fans took to the comments to question how the film could leave out such an amazing song.

"Why the hell did they cut this????? I'm so glad you shared with us. This will be on repeat forever," one user wrote.

"Why did they cut this?!?!?! It makes sense cause it's got the title in it 😅," another user added.

"WAIT. You sang and they cut it?!!!! NOOOO," another user wrote alluding to the fact that the Broadway star did not sing in the film.

Marsden did not react to the cute scene.

Enchanted -- which is about a princess who gets transported from her fairytale land to New York City -- also starred Amy Adams, Susan Sarandon, Patrick Dempsey and Julie Andrews.

In 2022, the cast reunited for the follow-up film, Disenchanted.

While she is looking back on her past role, Menzel recently spoke to ET about her upcoming Broadway production, Redwood.

"It's a show that I conceived of with Tina Lando. Years ago already, and we're so excited that it's gonna come to fruition," Menzel told ET at the 2024 Tony Awards. "It's about a woman at a crossroads at her life. Gets in a car in New York and escapes everyone. Finds herself cross country. Finds herself at the foot of the mystical Redwoods."

Redwood, featuring music by Kate Diaz, will premiere in February at La Jolla Playhouse in San Diego before moving to Broadway in 2025. Menzel will lead the cast as Jesse, a grieving mother who takes a cross-country road trip to find solace in the redwood forests of Northern California. Additional details are expected to be announced later.

This will mark Menzel's first return to Broadway since starring in If/Then from 2014-2015. She is best known for originating the roles of Maureen in Rent and Elphaba in Wicked, as well as voicing Elsa in Frozen.
