Anne Hathaway and Red, White and Royal Blue's Nicholas Galitzine star in the new romantic film The Idea of You, based on the novel of the same name by Robinne Lee. In the film, a 40-year-old single mom Solène Marchand (Hathaway) meets 24-year-old boy band member Hayes Campbell (Galitzine) at a music festival. Despite their age gap, an unexpected romance blossoms. But when the world learns that one of the hottest stars on the planet is dating a much older woman, things get complicated. The couple's love is tested as they try to navigate public scrutiny.

Speaking exclusively with ET, Hathaway — who also produced the movie — talked about working with her co-star, Galitzine, and the wonderful chemistry they experienced while making The Idea of You.
"I just think Nick and I would have been friends no matter what," she told ET's Rachel Smith. "Sometimes in this life, you meet people for, like, five minutes and you're like, 'Oh, I believe I would be friends with that person.' But you don't really have the time."
"Nick and I just, we got along right off the bat," she continued. "We just started texting and then we started talking and then we were acting together and then we were talking in between... We just kind of developed a real proper friendship and that's just really, I don't know, special."
