The HGTV couple also reveals if baby Helen will make an appearance on 'Home Town.'
Fans will see a whole new side to Ben and Erin Napier on the second season of Home Town -- thanks to someone pretty special.
The HGTV stars, who have been together for 13 years and married for nine, found out they were pregnant as they started to film season two of their show, which understandably impacted their filming schedules, and surprisingly their on-camera personalities as well. Erin revealed that Helen, named after her grandmother, was born on Thursday, but before she arrived, she was seemingly already running the show!
"It's been nervewracking!" Ben told ET in December of filming Home Town while Erin was pregnant. "I'm more nervous about every time Erin is around everything, knowing that she's pregnant. There's a lot of stuff that goes on in these houses that she can't be around, that aren't harmful for us, like paint and that sort of thing, but for our daughter, who is not born yet, she doesn't need to be around it."
One way the pair has been able to work around Erin's physical limitations is by focusing more on the design process this season "from beginning to end" -- including a special piece for their daughter.
"There's a pretty special build that I get to do in the shop, that's for our nursery, so it's been a neat little aspect this season," Ben described, as Erin noted that despite nearing the end of her pregnancy, Ben's crib is all they've finished of Helen's nursery.
"I have a plan, but I have not yet executed the plan," she admitted. "There is a total vibe. I just want the nursery to feel like the rest of our house. It won't feel like a baby's room at all, because she'll only be a baby for a little while."
As for whether Helen will make appearances on Home Town in the future, Erin said that fans shouldn't expect more than a couple appearances here and there.
"People are just so lovely," she shared of fans' support and interest in her and Ben's lives. "The people that send us messages and comments have been so warm and so excited, and it's going to make the world feel really small."
"I imagine [Helen will] make a cameo once or twice, but I wouldn't include her probably a whole lot," she continued. "I want to give her some privacy and let her have a normal childhood, so probably very limited appearances in the show."
For now, it's all about family time for Ben and Erin, who clearly couldn't be more in love nine years after tying the knot.
"We started dating on Dec. 7, 2004, and on Dec. 13, I told her that I was in love with her, and I was going to marry her one day," Ben gushed.
"Ever since that day, we've done everything together, and [Home Town] is no different," Erin added. "We work together, we sleep beside each other and eat together every meal... We're just so thankful that we get to work together. We're really lucky that our relationship is strong because we're together so much."
Home Town returns for season two on Monday, Jan. 8, at 9 p.m. ET/PT on HGTV.
