"I can't imagine any of this is happening."

Hoda Kotb is a mother of two!

Just over two years after she adopted her first daughter, Haley Joy, the 54-year-old TV personality announced that she and partner Joel Schiffman have adopted a second daughter, Hope Catherine Kotb.

"It's a girl! It's a girl! Her name is Hope," Hoda revealed through tears during a live phone call on Today

"Oh my god, you guys. First of all, she's laying on the boppy pillow right now, I'm feeding her and I can't believe it," Hoda gushed. "In your life, you think that maybe you've gotten what you deserve, but man, I'm so happy."

Hoda also gushed over how her 2-year-old daughter, Haley, instantly took to her role as big sister.

"We had Haley downstairs and we said, 'Wait. We have a present. We have present,'" Hoda recalled. "And we came down holding her and we'd been telling her, 'Baby Hope's coming.' And she literally walked up to her and looked at her and goes, 'Hope!'"

"She was trying to feed her her raspberries and I was like, 'Not yet, babe,'" Hoda quipped. "She was literally marching around saying, 'I'm a big sister!' She did try to crawl into her bassinet, but it's so much fun you guys."

Hoda also revealed the significance behind little Hope's middle name.

"We named her middle name Catherine after my best friend Karen['s] daughter... Her husband passed a little while ago and Catherine is so super strong and just so happens she was here this weekend with Karen and I was like, 'You know what? There are no accidents in life. Everything is supposed to happen in this moment the way it's happened,'" Hoda said. "So anyway, Hope Catherine Kotb."

Overall, Hoda admitted that she "can't imagine any of this is happening."

"I feel like I'm going to wake up and God's going to say, 'Hey, remember how you were before all of this? That's the way it is.' ... You hope, you pray, you dream about things and we thought about Hope," she said. "... You know what's funny? You think that you're full. Like you think that you're full. That’s exactly how I felt with Haley and Joel."

"Joel and I were standing there when they hand you the baby and it’s the closest thing to a live birth I think you'll ever see," she continued. "But anyway, in that moment I was like, my God, my heart just grew! It’s amazing. Anyway, I can’t believe it’s happening y'all. I can't."

Prior to the announcement on Tuesday morning, Hoda took to Instagram to share a clue about the special day. The Today show anchor posted a photo of a sky and clouds that read, "Choose Hope," giving unsuspecting fans a first look at her second daughter's name.

"Happy Monday xx," she captioned the image.

The happy news comes just over a month after Hoda told ET that she and Joel wanted a second child.

"We don't know when, but it is something that is important to me and to Joel," she said. "We like the idea of Haley [having] a sibling because she has had such interesting circumstances to grow up [in], so it would be nice to share it with somebody."

She also revealed that she made the decision to start growing her family in her 50s because "I always had this thing inside me, like a voice that I couldn't quiet."

"It was a voice that [told me I] wanted to be a mom, but I thought it was too late," she admitted. "You can push a voice like that away for a long time, but sooner or later it comes back up, and you have to address it. I think the thing we all need to know [is] when your child arrives for you, that child is right on time. So your time may be when you are in your 30s or in your 40s or your 50s, but your child is right on time."
