Old habits die hard?
During a recent concert in Copenhagen, Denmark, Harry Styles jokingly referenced ex-girlfriend Taylor Swift's hit song, "22," after wishing a fan a happy birthday and learning she was turning 22.
"How old are you today, Thea?" Styles asks after learning her name.
"Twenty-two, OK, I don't know about ..." he begins to sing before cutting himself off as fans immediately began to excitedly squeal.
For reference, the memorable Swift lyric is "I don't know about you, but I'm feeling 22."
This isn't the first time Styles has quoted "22" since his infamous breakup with Swift in 2013. On his 22nd birthday in 2016, Styles tweeted this gem.
Though perhaps it's no surprise that 24-year-old Styles is a fan of 28-year-old Swift's music, as the One Direction member has complimented Swift on her songwriting before. In an interview with Rolling Stone last April, Styles addressed her 1989 songs, "Out of the Woods" and "Style," being widely thought to be about him.
"I mean, I don't know if they're about me or not, but the issue is, she's so good, they're bloody everywhere," he said. "I write from my experiences; everyone does that. I'm lucky if everything [we went through] helped create those songs. That's what hits your heart. That's the stuff that's hardest to say, and it's the stuff I talk least about. That's the part that's about the two people. I'm never going to tell anybody everything."
Last May, Styles addressed whether his song, "Two Ghosts," was about Swift.
