The 35-year-old actress also opened up to ET about 'The Handmaid's Tale's 11 Emmy nominations.
Yvonne Strahovski is married!
The Handmaid's Tale star revealed that she tied the knot with longtime boyfriend Tim Loden on the red carpet at the 2017 Emmys on Sunday.
Stahovski, who has dated Loden for more than six years, told E! News that they tied the knot earlier this summer in Northern California.
"We ended up jumping in the lake in our suit and gown, just to cool down," she shared. "It was ridiculously hot. But we had a great time."
The 35-year-old actress looked stunning in red on Sunday's red carpet, telling ET's Lauren Zima that it was the first gown she tried on.
"I felt good in it. It's classic. I love the cut and it's red for my first red carpet Emmys," she explained. "This dress makes me feel badass."
The Handmaid's Tale is nominated for 11 Emmys, including Outstanding Drama Series, which Strahovski said "feels incredible."
"This is such a fun moment for me to be here for the first time with a show, and I get to stand alongside all the people that I work with on a daily basis and the show is nominated," she said. "I'm kind of speechless. I'm along for the ride and I'm having a really good time."
"The thing that most excites me about the show is the way that the writers write these nuances and what's in between the lines and how beautifully they do that and they're gonna do more of that," she teased of season two. "There's so much in the book that they can still derive from and what Margaret Atwood wrote to carry onto season two, even though we did cover the book in season one."
