Halle Bailey on Recording Original Music for ‘The Little Mermaid’ and Joining ‘The Color Purple’ (Exclusive)

ET spoke to Halle and Chloe at the 35th annual Kids' Choice Awards on Saturday.

Halle Bailey could be a part of The Little Mermaid world in more ways than one! ET's Denny Directo spoke to sisters Halle and Chloe Bailey at the 35th annual Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards on Saturday, where they talked Growin-ish and whether or not Halle will be recording an original song for the live-action remake of the Disney classic.

"That would be so cool," Halle gushed. Yeah, I mean it's always a dream, so, I've just been writing and stuff, but I'm so excited."

That's not the only thing Halle has in the works, she's also set to star in the upcoming remake of 1985's The Color Purple. In addition to Halle, the star-studded remake has pegged Ciara to play the older version of Halle's character, Nettie.

"I love Ciara so much, so, it's super cool," Halle said of the pairing before diving into the historical significance of starring in the film.

"I mean, it's historic because we grew up watching The Color Purple, everybody knows the story, so, I'm just grateful to be a part of it and bringing my own thing to it," she added.

Chloe, on the other hand, has been all about the music, most recently releasing her single, "Treat Me."

"It's been so much fun, you know, my sister and I, it's always fun dibbling and dabbling with sticks, and I was really, really excited about this one and I'm so happy everyone likes it and I can't wait for more," Chloe said of growing music career.

The video for the track is pretty epic too, with Halle calling her sister's dance in the flick, "the move of the summer."

"I lost my mind," Halle said of the first time she saw her sister's music video for the steamy single. "First of all, I was talking about the thing that she -- the move she does on the chair ,which is my all-time favorite. I'm saying that's the move of the summer, okay?"

Despite their individual endeavors, the sisters, who left Grown-ish after four seasons told ET that the show will always be close to their hearts.

"We had so much fun doing Growin-ish," Halle shared. That show is always so close to our hearts."

As far as making a guest appearance on the series, the sisters said, "you never know."

"That'd be so much fun," Halle said. "Yep," Chloe agreed. "You never know for sure."
