Gypsy Rose Blanchard is expecting a baby girl!
Over the weekend, the reality TV star, 33, and her boyfriend, Ken Urker, held a gender reveal party with friends and family and revealed to the world that they will welcome a daughter in the new year.
In a video posted to Instagram, Blanchard and Urker speak directly to the camera and address their baby girl before showing a sweet snap from the moment they popped a gender reveal balloon. The adorable picture shows the pair with smiles on their faces as they spot the pink confetti inside the balloon. Another post shows friends setting off poppers with hot pink powder.
"Hi sweetie, I'm your mom," Blanchard says to the camera as Urker adds, "I'm your dad." The pair -- who were previously engaged and split before rekindling their romance back in April -- then talk in unison as they announce, "And you're a girl."
In the caption of the post, Blanchard shared her excitement over the sex of their baby and thanked her more than 600,000 followers for their love and support as they embark on this new chapter of their lives.
"The moment y’all have been waiting for... It's a girl! Ken and I are over the moon and are so excited to start our family. We're so thankful for our friends, neighbors, and families who came to our party today! We also want thank ya'll for your love and support! 💕🎀✨," she wrote.
It's been a whirlwind few weeks for the mama-to-be, who announced her pregnancy just a little over a month ago in early July. At the time, Blanchard -- who was released from prison in December after serving eight years on a second-degree murder conviction in connection to the death of her mother, Dee Dee Blanchard -- shared the news via her newly-launched YouTube channel.
"I'm happy to announce that I am 11 weeks pregnant," she said at the time. "Ken and I are expecting our very first child come January 2025. We're both very excited. This was not planned at all, it was completely unexpected. But we're both very excited to take on this new journey of parenthood."
That news came amid her ongoing divorce from her husband of roughly two years, Ryan Scott Anderson. The timeline of events has been a topic of conversation among Blanchard's followers who have questioned her baby's parentage due to the close proximity of her reconnection with Urker and her split with Anderson, 38. Blanchard and Anderson split in March and she filed for divorce in April.
Things continued to bubble up until Blanchard did a sit-down interview with ABC's Juju Chang, where she defended the paternity of her child amid her divorce. "This is absolutely 100 percent Ken's baby," Blanchard told the reporter.
Since then, Blanchard has kept her devoted followers updated on her pregnancy journey. Just last week, she took to Instagram to give a visual representation of the size of their baby girl.
"I'm 16 weeks and our little one is the size of an avocado!" Blanchard wrote alongside a photo of herself in a supermarket holding an avocado in front of her stomach.
"I love watching my baby bump grow💗," the excited mom added.
Prior to that, she shared a video of herself using an at-home fetal heart rate monitor. In that clip, she was seen pressing the machine's wand into her growing belly and palpating to try and find her baby's heartbeat.
"There it is," she said to the camera after a thumping sound rang out through the machine's monitor. The expectant mother captioned the video, "Hearing our baby's heartbeat with a home doppler 💓."
