The 'Animal Kingdom' star is heading to Grey Sloan Memorial.
Grey's Anatomy is welcoming a new addition to the cast.
Scott Speedman will be heading to Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital in season 14 as a credited guest star, a source confirms to ET.
Details on who Speedman will be playing, when he will make his Grey's debut and how long he will remain on the show are being kept under wraps. Reps for ABC and Shondaland declined to comment to ET.
News of Speedman's casting raises questions about his future on Animal Kingdom, which returns for its third season later this year. In the season two finale, Speedman's character, Baz Blackwell, was seen fighting for his life. TNT declined to comment to ET.
Grey's star Ellen Pompeo recently signed a two-year extension, essentially guaranteeing that the ABC medical drama will run through at least season 16. She also became TV's highest-paid actress, earning more than $20 million a year at a rate of $575,000 per episode.
Grey's Anatomy airs Thursdays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
