The 2024 GRAMMYs are already starting off on an interesting note!
On Sunday, the pre-show ceremony was in full effect as winners for the non-televised categories were announced. During the Best Rap Song category segment, the live show presenters correctly announced "Scientists & Engineers" by Killer Mike featuring André 3000, Future and Eryn Allen Kane as the winner.
When it came to social media, the Recording Academy's X (formally known as Twitter) account mistakenly announced the winner as "Barbie World" [from Barbie The Album] by Nicki Minaj and Ice Spice featuring Aqua.
The mistake was quickly taken care of, but fans were quick to call out the faux pas.
"Ya'll are so messy," one user wrote.
"It's been 13 years and you're still sabotaging Nicki," another user replied.
Still, there were a lot of celebratory messages in the replies for Killer Mike and Andre 3000.
The stacked category also included "Just Wanna Rock," (Lil Uzi Vert), "Attention" (Doja Cat), and Rich Flex (Drake & 21 Savage).
There's still time for Ice Spice to take home a trophy during music's biggest night.
The Bronx native is also nominated in the Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for "Karma" with Taylor Swift, Song Written For Visual Media "Barbie World," and perhaps her biggest award of the night, Best New Artist.
On Friday, ET spoke with the "Princess Diana" rapper, who dished on her banner year.
"It actually hit me back in November when it was first announced and that was crazy," Ice Spice told ET. "Now, I finally can be like, four times GRAMMY nominated, period just look cute."
When it came to her Best New Artist nomination, the 24-year-old emcee said it's a "dream."
"It means everything for real," she said. "This is a dream to me, it's one of my favorite categories. I always tune in to see who's going to be the best new artist. I'm excited."
The 2024 GRAMMY Awards is on Sunday, Feb. 4, at 5 p.m. PT/8 p.m. ET and being broadcast and streamed live on CBS and Paramount+ from Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.
