The streets of New York City were lined with excited fans from all over the country to celebrate the homecoming of the U.S. Women's National Soccer team, who won the 2019 Women's World Cup in France on July 7. Star forward and co-captain Megan Rapinoe led the back-to-back champs in the celebration, cheering from the floats as they made their way down the Canyon of Heroes. Arms Up!
Megan Rapinoe threw her arms up in her signature pose during the team's City Hall ceremony. The co-captain also gave a rousing, pertinent speech on equality and going after one's dreams.
A Nation of Cheerleaders
The 23 women of the winning national soccer team were greeted by ear-splitting cheers when they hit the steps of City Hall.

Confetti fell over the soccer players and their trophy.

Alex Morgan had plenty of reason to celebrate! She won the Silver Boot, scored the most goals in a single match and, yes, had the tea meme seen around the world.
Pride of New York
New York Governor Andrew Cuomo gleefully stood with a few of the 23 members of the team during the victory parade, which came shortly after he gave a speech that included how deserving the team is of receiving equal pay to their male counterparts.
Role Models
A young girl was hoisted up onto her dad's shoulders, where she cheered with a red, white and blue pom-pom in hand while rocking dozens of matching beads and flag face paint. An "equal pay" sign could be seen being held up in the background behind her, and that chant was heard throughout the parade and City Hall ceremony.
Pop It Like It's Hot
That's some champagne bottle! Ashlyn Harris and Megan Rapinoe enjoyed victory sips, which the latter seemed to be pretty stoked about.
