The View is an American talk show created by broadcast journalist Barbara Walters. Currently in its 25th season, the show has aired since Aug. 11, 1997. Let's look back at all the hosts of The View through the years.
Barbara Walters
Barbara Walters created, produced, and co-hosted the ABC daytime talk show The View in 1997. She appeared as a regular host until her retirement in 2014. Today, Walters is enjoying her retired life.
Meredith Vieira
Meredith Vieira appeared as a co-host on The View from 1997 until her departure in 2006. Her most recent endeavor is as the host of the daytime game show 25 Words or Less.
Joy Behar
Joy Behar is the longest-running co-host of The View. She first appeared on the show from 1997 to 2013 and returned to host full-time in 2015. Today, Behar is still on The View.
Star Jones
Star Jones was a co-host on The View from 1997 to 2006. She'll soon be returning to daytime TV as a judge on Divorce Court.
Debbie Matenopoulos
Debbie Matenopoulos hosted The View from 1997 to 1999. She was later a co-host of Hallmark Channel's Home & Family. Today, she is developing food shows and a lifestyle show.
Lisa Ling
Lisa Ling was a co-host on The View from 1999 to 2002. She is currently the host of This Is Life With Lisa Ling on CNN.
Elisabeth Hasselbeck
Elisabeth Hasselbeck co-hosted The View from 2003 to 2013. In 2013, she joined Fox & Friends, but left the show in 2015 to spend more time with her family.
Rosie O'Donnell
