Although many men compete for the hand of the Bachelorette each season, only one will succeed. However, their romantic attempts, big personalities, meltdowns and feuds have lived on to be some of the most memorable moments in Bachelorette history. We can't forget Peter Kraus or Peter Weber. Nick Viall has become synonymous with the franchise. We still think about Clay Harbor. Chad Johnson's meat-eating antics are still burned in our brains. We'll never forget these simply unforgettable Bachelorette contestants.
Greg Grippo
The Season 18 Bachelorette contestant seemed to be winning over not only Katie but also fans of the reality TV series.
It seemed like Katie and the New Jersey native were a lock after several successful dates and even an adorable hometown moment. But Grippo reached his breaking point after Katie met his parents, when his gushy love confession to the reality star was not reciprocated.
"I deserve more than what I’ve been given on your side. I’m not happy here anymore. I’m done here," he said to her before storming off and breaking Bachelorette viewers hearts.
Rodney Mathews
Sales representative Rodney Mathews was a contestant on the 18th season of The Bachelorette. He was eliminated in week 7 and is ready to be wifed-up!
Zac Clark
Zac Clark was a contestant on season 16 of The Bachelorette. He proposed to Tayshia Adams at the end of the season and she accepted. Tayshia Adams confirmed she and Zac broke up during The Bachelorette's Men Tell All special.
Mike Johnson
Portfolio manager Mike Johnson is another fan-favorite from Hannah Brown’s season 15 of The Bachelorette. He was eliminated in week 7. Johnson returned for season 6 of Bachelor in Paradise.
Jed Wyatt
Hannah Brown accepted Jed Wyatt's musical proposal at the end of her Bachelorette season. After learning more about Wyatt's ex-girlfriend's claims that they were in a relationship until he left for the show, Hannah Brown revealed on the After the Final Rose that the pair were no longer together.
Peter Kraus
Fans were shocked when Rachel Lindsay didn't choose this season 13 business owner, as his easy charm and winning smile stole the hearts of many Bachelorette viewers.
Joe Amabile
"Grocery Store Joe" was let go in week one of season 14, but fans remember him most for his relationship with fellow Bachelor in Paradise contestant Kendall Long. The couple split in January 2020, but fans suspect they might be back together.
Tyler Cameron
The season 15 runner-up dated model Gigi Hadid post-Bachelorette. Fans thought he might have reunited with season 15 Bachelorette Hannah Brown after they posted on social media that they were quarantining together. However, Tyler said, "I think we should just keep that between me and Hannah."
Peter Weber
The season 15 Bachelorette contestant made it to the top three (and got busy in a windmill four times) before being sent home. However, his complicated relationship with Bachelorette Hannah Brown spilled over into season 24 of The Bachelor, where Peter was the star. He is currently dating one of his former contestants, Kelley Flanagan.
Dean Unglert
The Los Angeles-based Bachelorette contestant failed to make it to the finale of season 13, as he was eliminated in week eight. The popular contestant went on to appear on Bachelor in Paradise and Bachelor Winter Games. He co-hosts the podcast Help! I Suck at Dating With Dean, Vanessa and Jared. He is currently dating Bachelor Nation alum Caelynn Miller-Keyes.
Jake Pavelka
The 40-year-old pilot from Texas was eliminated from the fifth season in week six. However, he went on to star in season 14 of The Bachelor.
Shawn Booth
The personal trainer from Connecticut won season 11 and walked away with Bachelorette Kaitlyn Bristowe. In November 2018, it was reported the couple split and the engagement was off.
Blake Horstmann
The fan favorite from Colorado was sadly the runner-up in season 14. He started a lot of drama by appearing on Bachelor in Paradise after allegedly hooking up with many of the BIP contestants beforehand at the Stagecoach music festival.
Chris Soules
The Iowa farmer was a fan favorite in season 10, and he joined The Bachelor in season 19. He proposed to Whitney Bischoff, but they ended their relationship in March 2015. He is currently dating Bachelor Nation alum Victoria Fuller. Chris made headlines in 2017 after he was arrested and charged with leaving the scene of a fatal car crash. In August 2019, he pleaded guilty to leaving the scene of an accident. His penalty was two years' probation.
Ben Higgins
The 29-year-old Indiana native was the second runner-up in season 11 and then became the star of season 20 of The Bachelor. He got engaged to Lauren Bushnell, but the couple ended their engagement in May 2017.
Jared Haibon
The Rhode Island native may have lost in season 11, but he went on to appear on Bachelor in Paradise, where he fell in love with fellow Bachelor Nation member Ashley Iaconetti. The couple were married in 2019.
Sean Lowe
The Texan was a fan favorite when he competed for Emily Maynard's love in season 8. He placed third, but then starred in The Bachelor's season 17 in 2013. He proposed to Catherine Giudici, and the couple are now married and have three children.
Colton Underwood
The former football player was eliminated in week eight of Season 14 and became The Bachelor for season 23. He's best known for jumping over a gate to escape show producers after being rejected by his first pick, Cassie Randolph. Colton did end up getting the girl, and Cassie and Colton dated for a year and a half after the show, before splitting up in 2020.
Garrett Yrigoyen
The medical sales rep from Reno, Nevada, won season 14 and walked away engaged to Becca Kufrin. However, Becca has said their future is uncertain after Garrett posted on social media supporting police during the Black Lives Matter protests.
DeMario Jackson
This season 13 contestant was part of one of the most shocking moments in Bachelor franchise history during his stint on season 4 of Bachelor in Paradise.
Robby Hayes
The founder of the creative media company Rebella was the runner-up in season 12.
Nick Viall
The 38-year-old struck out twice as the runner-up in seasons 10 and 11, but then starred in The Bachelor in season 21. Although he proposed to contestant Vanessa Grimaldi, they eventually broke up.
Jordan Rodgers
The sports commentator won season 12 and is still engaged to Bachelorette JoJo Fletcher.
Clay Harbor
The 31-year-old football player was a contestant in season 14, but quit after he injured his wrist while playing tackle football with the other guys on the show. He is currently dating 90 Day Fiancé star Fernanda Flores.
Eric Bigger
The personal trainer from Baltimore came in third in season 13, but one look through his positive Instagram account proves he's currently living his best life.
Arie Luyendyk Jr.
Love him or hate him, there's no denying that the race car driver is one of the most talked-about members of Bachelor Nation. He was the runner-up in season 8 and infamous on The Bachelor when he broke Becca Kufrin's heart. He's currently married to Bachelor runner-up Lauren Burnham. The couple have a daughter.
Chad Johnson
The Oklahoma native was known as "Bad Chad" on season 12, becoming the show's villain. He was eliminated in week four and later appeared on the spinoff Bachelor in Paradise.
Luke Pell
The country singer and veteran competed for love on season 12 but was eliminated in week eight.
Chase McNary
The season 12 medical rep came in third, failing to steal the heart of JoJo Fletcher.
Kenny King
The professional wrestler quit season 13 because he was missing his daughter, but he later appeared on Bachelor in Paradise season 5.
Josh Murray
The former baseball player won season 10 and the heart of JoJo Fletcher, but the couple broke up in January 2015.
Adam Gottschalk
He may have been eliminated in episode 7 of season 13, but this brunette made quite the impact with his doll, Adam Jr. He eventually found love on Bachelor in Paradise with Raven Gates. The couple have been engaged since May 2019.
Jason Tartick
The corporate banker was a favorite with fans, but he ultimately got eliminated in season 14. He is currently dating Bachelor Nation star Kaitlyn Bristowe.
Chris Randone
The sales trainer didn't find love with Bachelorette Becca, but he found the one when he met Bachelor in Paradise cast member Krystal Nielson. The couple were married in 2019 but split in 2020.
Chris Siegfried
The mortgage broker won the heart of Desiree Hartsock. The pair married in January 2015 and are still together.
Juan Pablo Galavis
The former professional soccer player was eliminated in week six of season 9, then he starred on The Bachelor in season 18. Nikki Ferrell won the season, but Juan Pablo did not propose to her.
Josiah Graham
The attorney from Florida was eliminated in week five of season 13, and he later appeared on Bachelor Winter Games.
Brooks Forester
The actor dramatically quit in season 9, breaking up with a devastated Desiree.
Michael Garofola
The New York City-based attorney was eliminated in week seven of season 9.
David Homyk
Despite making records for Beyoncé, the musician and record producer failed to impress and was eliminated in week one of season 8.
J.P. Rosenbaum
With that precious smile, it's no surprise the construction manager won the heart of Bachelorette Ashley Hebert. The couple married in 2012 and share adorable photos of their family on Instagram.
Ben Flajnik
The TV personality was the runner-up in season 7, and followed that up by starring on The Bachelor season 16. He proposed to winner Courtney Robertson, but the couple split in October 2012.
Roberto Martinez
The insurance agent won season 6 and became Ali Fedotowsky’s fiancé. The couple ended their relationship in November 2011.
Jesse Kovacs
The 37-year-old winemaker was eliminated in week seven of season 5, failing to woo Bachelorette Jillian Harris.
Ryan Hoag
The former football player competed in season 4 but was eliminated early on, in week two. He went on to appear on The Bachelor Pad.
Ryan Sutter
Proving that true love can be found on reality television, the Colorado firefighter married Trista Rehn in 2003, after winning her heart in the first season of The Bachelorette. The couple is still married and have two children together.
Bob Guiney
The TV host was eliminated in week three of season 1, but later starred on The Bachelor season 4. He hosted GSN Live from 2009 to 2011.
Derek Peth
The banker was eliminated in week six of season 12, then starred on Bachelor in Paradise, where he met fellow Bachelor Nation member Taylor Nolan. The pair eventually became engaged during the reunion show, but it was reported in June 2018 that they had called it quits.
Grant Kemp
The San Francisco firefighter was eliminated in week five of season 12, but appeared in the third season of Bachelor in Paradise, where he got matching tattoos with fellow contestant Lace Morris.
Wells Adams
The radio DJ was eliminated in season 12, and he's now engaged to Modern Family star Sarah Hyland.
Tanner Tolbert

Vinny Ventiera
