Celebrities love to get creative with their Halloween get-ups and turn boring costume ideas into sizzling All Hallows Eve creations. Stars such as Kylie Jenner, Kim Kardashian West, Nicki Minaj and Emily Ratajkowski have embraced the spooky season and shown some skin, resulting in face-meltingly hot Halloween costumes. Don’t expect to only see the Kardashin-Jenners taking their costumes from so-so to sizzling, there are a bunch of celebs you wouldn’t expect, working their curves in cool costumes, including a Top Chef host, an Academy Award winner and a reality TV mom. Trick-or-treat yourself by checking out these sizzling celebrity Halloween costumes of spooky years past.
Kendall Jenner
In 2018, the model went as an Austin Powers “fembot” to the Casamigos Halloween party at Catch Las Vegas. Her totally groovy costume included a fluffy pink nighty, satin gloves, clear-heeled sandals with a pink fluffy toe and a blonde wig with bangs. The reality star was accompanied by her friend, notable Kardashian-Jenner family favorite Fai Khadra. Khadra, who frequently accompanies Jenner to events, dressed for the party as Austin Powers.
Jenner later quoted the British spy comedy movie on Instagram, writing, “Should we shag now or shag later baby?” We consider the costume to be one of the best Kardashian-Jenner Halloween costumes ever worn through the years. Yeah, baby!
Winnie Harlow
The model must have taken RuPaul’s advice to “get up, look sickening, and make them eat it!” Although she could have dressed as any number of RuPaul’s Drag Race’s most popular queens, the Victoria’s Secret stunner chose to attend Heidi Klum's 19th annual Halloween party as show host RuPaul during his M.A.C. Viva Glam days.
Harlow wore a blonde wig just like RuPaul’s dramatically large and complicated blonde up-do from the photo shoot, a red lace-up bustier, thigh-high red boots and red leather arm cuffs. Like Ru, she topped off the look with a cherry red lipstick. Harlow’s Halloween costume later became a real M.A.C. Viva glam campaign.
Jenna Dewan
The dancer sparkled at the Casamigos Tequila Halloween party as a unicorn in 2016. The World of Dance host covered her hair in silver glitter and added a pastel ponytail and a glimmering silver unicorn horn for the look. Aside from streaking her body with pink paint, the celeb kept the rest of her Halloween costume simple with white tights, a tiny white ballet skirt and a muscle-baring white tank.
Dewan welcomed a son in 2020 with actor Steve Kazee, but that hasn’t kept her from flexing her dancer muscles and shaking it to Justin Bieber’s song, “Intentions,” for TikTok.
Lupita Nyong’o
As if! The Black Panther star rocked a super-nostalgic costume for Heidi Klum's 19th annual Halloween party at Lavo in New York. Are we totally buggin’? Or does the actress look just like Stacey Dash as Dionne from Clueless. For the 2018 party, the Oscar-winning actress copied the iconic ‘90s movie look, donning a black-and-white plaid skirt, matching black-and-white blazer, black-and-white hat and a huge cell phone.
The star is clearly a fan of Halloween. In 2019, Nyong’o reprised her super spooky role as Red in Us for Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Orlando. The star wore her iconic red jumpsuit, grabbed a pair of golden scissors, and stepped into the Us maze to scare the daylights out of random strangers making their way through the already chilling setting.
Padma Lakshmi
The Taste the Nation star put on a tiara, black ballet tights, spooky pale makeup and a black feathered corset and skirt to be Natalie Portman’s character from Black Swan at Heidi Klum's 2018 Halloween party. The TV personality has said that she consumes upward of 7,000 calories a day on the competition food series Top Chef. That’s a pretty different diet from Black Swan star Mila Kunis, who said she smoked cigarettes and consumed 1,200 calories a day to look the part for the role. “I had to look skinny in order to look like a ballerina,” Kunis explained. “You fake it. So, the best way to fake it is to unfortunately look like it.”
The Weeknd and Bella Hadid
The singer and his model girlfriend went all out for Heidi Klum's 19th annual Halloween party at Lavo NYC. The on-again, off-again duo were definitely back on-again for Halloween 2018 and dressed up as two of Tim Burton’s most iconic characters ever. The “In Your Eyes” singer painted his face and wore a wig to achieve Michael Keaton’s eerie titular character from Beetlejuice and Hadid donned piecy bangs and a red wedding dress to be Winona Ryder's brooding Lydia Deetz.
In 2020, the model channeled Deetz on the runway when she once again wore piecey-looking black bangs to walk in the Haider Ackermann fall-winter show during Paris Fashion Week.
Emily Ratajkowski
The I Feel Pretty star's furry two-piece channeled Raquel Welch in One Million Years B.C. at Travis Scott’s 2018 Halloween at the Weekend Unlimited Delilah Take Over in Los Angeles on Oct. 31.
This would not be the last time the model would proudly show off hair on her body. In 2019, Ratajkowski rocked her natural armpit hair for a lingerie shoot and accompanying essay with Harper’s Bazaar. “If I decide to shave my armpits or grow them out, that’s up to me,” she wrote. “For me, body hair is another opportunity for women to exercise their ability to choose -- a choice based on how they want to feel and their associations with having or not having body hair. On any given day, I tend to like to shave, but sometimes letting my body hair grow out is what makes me feel sexy… As long as the decision is my choice, then it’s the right choice.”
Coco Austin
The Ice & Coco star looked sharp with her swords for Heidi Klum's 19th annual Halloween Party in New York City. The model dressed as a naughty ninja, with black boots, fishnets, and a red-and-black bodysuit that showed off her signature curves.
Austin made headlines in 2020 for sharing social media pictures where she is breastfeeding her 4-year-old daughter. “I know the moms out there will appreciate this pic!” the TV personality captioned one of her breastfeeding Instagrams. “I've been getting a lot of props in the breastfeeding community and get tons of emails from women/moms appreciating me bringing light to the subject.”
Nicki Minaj
The “Yikes” rapper and new mom showed off her softer side in 2015, when she dressed up as a fairy princess for Halloween. The Other Woman actress glittered in a jewel-encrusted, plunging leotard, white tutu, fairy wand, and silver tiara.
While she may have dressed up like a fairy princess, Minaj may have a real fairy godmother granting her wishes. In 2012, the star told Complex that she wanted to have a son. In 2020, her wish came true. “I am so grateful & in love with my son,” she wrote on Instagram after his September 2020 birth. “Madly in love. My favorite liddo boy in the whole wide world.”
Paris Hilton
In 2005, the business-savvy socialite opted for animal ears and lingerie for a Halloween Mansion Party hosted by Haylie Duff.
In 2020, Hilton donned lingerie in public again, only this time it was for Rihanna’s Savage X Fenty Fashion Show. That same year, the reality TV and beauty brand mogul released her documentary, This Is Paris. In it, she revisits key events and personal traumas in her early life that she’s still coming to terms with today, including events she alleges happened to her during her time at the Provo Canyon School. “When I was a young girl going through this, I didn't know how to deal with it and I would allow it to happen,” Hilton said. “My advice is to stand up for yourself. No one deserves to be treated like that.”
Kim Kardashian West
Kim, is that you? The Keeping Up With the Kardashians star became the purrr-fect Catwoman for her 2012 Halloween Birthday Bash at LIV Nightclub in Florida. Her then-boyfriend, now-husband, Kanye West, went as Batman. The Kardashian-Jenners are known for their over-the-top Halloween costumes, and this was one of the beauty and loungewear mogul’s most memorable looks.
In 2020, Kardashian West announced that she will be lending her voice to the upcoming animated PAW Patrol movie. While she may no longer be a super-sizzling Catwoman, she is now an animated pup and officially a “cool mom” to her four children, North, Saint, Chicago and Psalm.
Selita Ebanks
The former Victoria's Secret Angel sizzled in this red-hot devil-inspired costume. Ebanks wore red and black from head-to-toe beginning with her red-and-black-striped hair, devil horns, red eyelashes and red-and-black-lined lips. The model also spray painted her chest a similar shade of crimson. On her body, she wore a black-and-red jewel encrusted plunging corset-style top, that appeared to have claws sticking out of the top of it. She completed the devilishly spooky look with red gloves and tights and thigh-high red boots. Her only accessory was a black leather whip.
In real life, Ebanks is more like an angel than a devil. The former Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model is an activist who speaks out against child hunger and speaks up for breast cancer awareness.
Ariel Winter
The Modern Family actress cozied up to her then-boyfriend, Levi Meaden, in matching skeleton costumes and makeup at the 2017 Just Jared Halloween party in Beverly Hills. Their ghoulishly good costumes involved black-and-white face paint to give their faces a gaunt and skull-like appearance. Winter wore black boots, fishnet stockings and a halter-neck black leotard that accentuated her curves. Her Canadian actor beau wore a torn black shirt and ripped black jeans.
The couple split in 2019. Since their breakup, the actress has been dating Dumplin’ actor Luke Benward. The two are set to co-star in the indie movie Don’t Log Off.
Gretchen Rossi
In 2015, The Real Housewives of Orange County star looked ferocious in fur. Rossi kept it cozy for Life & Style Weekly's “Eye Candy” Halloween Bash in a fur-trimmed blue mini dress with a plunging neckline and matching knee-high fur boots. The blonde reality star also tucked her signature golden tresses under a black bobbed wig for the event.
This isn’t the first time Rossi, who became a new mom in 2019, has shown some skin on the red carpet. The Who Is America actress once rocked a bikini on the red carpet for a Tao Beach event in Las Vegas.
Mariah Carey
This costume has got us feeling emotions! The “Always Be My Baby” singer donned a devil-inspired costume for her 2016 Halloween party. The sinfully sizzling look included a red corset, a long red latex skirt, lace-up black platform heels, red wings, devil horns and tons of sparkling diamond jewelry. As any good devil would do, Carey toted around a pitchfork.
The singer is known to go all-out for the spooky holiday. In 2015, Carey and her ex, Nick Cannon, threw a big party for their kids. “They've been celebrating Halloween since August. So I figured, you know, we should have something fun, and a haunted house and really be festive so they can enjoy the holidays,” she told ET.
Gigi Gorgeous
The YouTube star channeled Cinderella for a Halloween bash in West Hollywood. Gorgeous wore a baby blue bustier-style top and matching-toned mini skirt, elegant fingerless white gloves, Cinderella’s black choker necklace, a blue velvet headband and a sparkling crown. To complete the look, the newlywed styled her blonde locks just like the Disney icon.
Gorgeous attended the event with her now-spouse, Nats Getty, who dressed as Prince Charming. The couple were married in 2019. At their wedding, the YouTuber was dressed like an IRL princess, in a white ball gown style dress by designer Michael Costello.
