In the casual pic, Meghan and Harry are both in jeans -- the duke's even have a rip at the knee! -- and are looking adoringly at their baby daughter, who is wearing a white dress and grinning down at her proud parents.
Archie Turns One
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's son turned one on May 6, 2020, and to celebrate, his mom read him a special story for charity. In a rare clip, which was posted to Save the Children's Instagram account, the Duchess of Sussex read her squirming son the beloved classic, Duck! Rabbit!. As Meghan calls her little guy "Arch" in the video, a man can be heard chuckling and cheering them along in the background, and we can only assume it's Archie's proud dad, Prince Harry. The video both marked Archie's first birthday and also allowed Sussexes to join the "Save With Stories" campaign, in which celebrities read children's books and urge viewers to donate to the organization.
Bye, 2019!
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex closed out 2019 by sharing a sweet video to their Instagram account, which included a precious new snap of Archie and his dad. "'Wishing you all a very Happy New Year and thanking you for your continued support! We’ve loved meeting so many of you from around the world and can’t wait to meet many more of you next year. We hope 2020 brings each of you health and continued happiness.' - The Duke and Duchess of Sussex," the caption read.
Christmas Cuties
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex celebrated their first holiday as parents in December 2019, and they commemorated with a heartwarming card showing their 7-month-old baby boy, Archie, crawling toward the camera as they sat behind him, beaming and basking in the glow of their Christmas tree.
First Trip Abroad
The 4-month-old cutie joined his parents for an important meeting with Archbishop Desmond Tutu in Cape Town, South Africa, on Sept. 25, 2019 and for those wondering, the precious tot is, in fact, a ginger like his dad!
Christening Day
The extended royal family was in attendance for Archie's christening in July 2019, but the sweetest snap was a black-and-white pic the couple shared, which showed Meghan looking lovingly at her husband as she held Archie, while Harry sweetly kept his eyes on his son.
Happy Father's Day, Prince Harry!
In honor of Prince Harry's first Father's Day, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex shared a sweet sepia-toned snap that showed off Archie's face on Instagram on June 16, 2019. The baby boy was safely tucked into his dad's arms, and his eyes could be seen peeking out as he held onto his dad's finger.
Meet the Grandparents
Sure, you can't see the newborn's face here, but this May 8, 2019 announcement not only revealed the baby's name -- Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor -- it also showed a beaming Meghan at Windsor Castle introducing her son to his relatives, including his paternal great-grandparents, Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip, and his maternal grandmother, Dorian Ragland.
Welcome to the World!
Two days after his birth, Archie was introduced to the world as his beaming parents held him in St. George's Hall at Windsor Castle. Meghan gushed over her husband and son, calling them "the two best guys in the world" and revealing that her son, who was born on May 6, 2019 has "the sweetest temperament."
