'American Horror Stories'
Season 3 of the spin-off anthology series American Horror Stories releases on Oct. 26 on Hulu and FX. Each episode of the series focuses on a different scary story with a twist.
'Five Nights at Freddy's'
The is a supernatural horror movie that takes place in an abandoned pizza joint. A security guard takes a job where he has to stay here overnight. The animatronic mascots come alive after midnight and start causing trouble for the security guard. This movie will be released in theaters on Oct. 27, 2023.
'Goosebumps'
This horror-comedy takes place when high school kids journey to find out what this entity around them is and try to find out how a teen named Harold Biddle died 30 years ago. The teens are in for an adventure and scary time while trying to solve this mystery. This series is now streaming on Hulu and Disney+.
'John Carpenter's Suburban Screams'
John Carpenter's Suburban Screams debuts Oct. 13 on Peacock. In the series, victims retell horrific events.
'The Fall of the House of Usher'
Coming to Netflix on Oct 12, The Fall House of Usher is an adaptation of the 19th-century short story by Edgar Allen Poe. In this mini-series, siblings Roderick and Madeline Usher, owners of a wealthy pharmaceutical company, begin to unravel the secrets of their family's history after the successors of the Usher family begin to perish.
'The Exorcist: Believer'
Olivia Marcum plays Katherine, a child who becomes victim of possession, in The Excocist: Believer. This leads to more horrific events that take place and prompts the characters in the movie to seek help from someone who has experienced this before. The movie is in theaters on Oct. 6, 2023.
'Chucky' Season 3
Killer doll Chucky is back for season 3 come Oct. 4 on the Syfy channel. Chucky has been ruining the lives of kids since 1988 with the first Child's Play movie. The doll has the soul of Charles Lee Ray and he is looking for the perfect body to host his soul. In this series, he torments three teenage kids while they try everything to stop him from continuing his master plan.
'A Haunting in Venice'
A murder takes place in Venice, Italy, where the characters are attending a séance. This horror movie is in theaters on Sept. 15, 2023.
'Totally Killer'
Jamie, played by Kiernan Shipka, has an encounter with a killer that has been on the loose for 35 years and is now coming back to terrorize the community. Jamie ends up traveling back in time when the first murders take place and bonds with her mom as a teen to try and stop the killer from continuing his vengeance. This movie is now streaming on Amazon Prime.
'The Nun II'
The nuns in France in 1956 are faced with a demonic presence that killed their priest. This movie comes out in theaters on Sept. 8, 2023.
'Insidious: Red Door'
Patrick Wilson pays Josh Lambert, the father of Dalton who's had experiences with a demon presence in the past. As Dalton gets ready to for college, his past comes back to haunt him. This movie hit theaters on July 7, 2023.
'Swarm'
Dominique Fishback plays Dre, a crazed fan of a famous R&B singer, in this FX's horror thriller series. There are no lengths she won't go to prove her fandom. This series was released on March 17, 2023.
'Scream VI'
Ghostface returns for another horror thriller. The killer tries to exact their revenge, but time the victims are in New York City and are navigating a new life and trying to make a fresh start. Little do they know, Ghostface always finds a way to come back.
'The Last of Us'
Max's show started the year off with some spooky vibes on Jan. 15, 2023. Pedro Pascal plays Joel and Bella Ramsey plays Tess, who survive a fungal outbreak that reeks havoc on the world.
