The celebrities dressed to impress for the 93rd Academy Awards on Sunday! From gorgeous ball gowns to sophisticated suits, ET's breaking down the Best Dressed stars at the 2021 Oscars.
Zendaya wowed us with her glow-in-the-dark gown, whlie Regina King's glittering sky blue number took center stage. But the ladies weren't the only ones tearing up the carpet. Lakeith Stanfield took us back to the '70s, and Brad Pitt's man bun could not be ignored.
Zendaya
The actress wore a silk chiffon gown especially designed for her by Valentino creative director Pierpaolo Piccioli, with Bulgari fine jewelry.
The Malcolm & Marie star was a presenter at the 2021 awards ceremony.
Amanda Seyfried
The actress earned a spot on the list thanks to her red strapless tulle dress customized from the Giorgio Armani Privé spring/summer 2021 collection and Forevermark jewelry.
Seyfried was nominated in the Best Actress category for her role in Mank.
H.E.R.
Carey Mulligan
The star looked gorgeous in a gold Valentino Couture crop top and skirt with Cartier jewelry.
Mulligan was nominated in the Best Actress category for her role in Promising Young Woman. Frances McDormand ended up taking home the trophy for her work in Nomadland.
Viola Davis
The leading lady wowed in a regal white gown at Sunday's red carpet. Her Alexander McQueen dress featured a cut-out design on the bodice. She accessorized with a matching clutch, Forevermark jewelry and Stuart Weitzman heels.
The Best Actress nominee earned her Oscar nomination for her portrayal of blues singer Ma Rainey in Ma Rainey's Black Bottom, an adaptation of the August Wilson play. She picked up a Best Supporting Actress win in 2017 for her role in another August Wilson adaptation, Fences.
Riz Ahmed
The actor walked the red carpet in a well-tailored suit by Prada. The 38-year-old British star was in attendance with his wife, novelist Fatima Farheen Mirza. The pair made headlines when Ahmed adjusted his wife's hair for their photos together. "I'm the official groomer for the evening," he announced.
Ahmed was a Best Actor nominee for his work in Sound of Metal. The film received six Oscar nominations and picked up wins in two categories, for Best Film Editing and Best Sound.
Vanessa Kirby
The Crown actress oozed old Hollywood glamour in this light pink Gucci gown with a small midriff cut-out. She completed the look with a diamond necklace and a bold red lip.
Kirby was nominated for Best Actress for her role in the Netflix drama Pieces of a Woman. The Oscar in that category went to Frances McDormand for Nomadland.
Celeste
The British singer-songwriter made a dramatic turn on the red carpet in a Gucci gown and joined the statement bag trend on the red carpet, accessorizing with a crystal-embellished anatomical heart clutch, which comes fresh off the runway of Gucci's latest collection.
She and her fellow Best Original Song nominee Daniel Pemberton performed "Hear My Voice" from Netflix's The Trial Of The Chicago 7 at the Oscars pre-show at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures in Los Angeles. The Oscar in that category ultimately went to H.E.R., Tiara Thomas and Dernst Emile II for "Fight For You" from Judas And The Black Messiah.
Brad Pitt and Yuh-Jung Youn
Pitt, who won a Best Supporting Actor Oscar in 2020 for his role in Once Upon A Time...In Hollywood, is seen here in Brioni.
Yuh-Jung Youn, who made history this year as the first South Korean to win a Best Supporting Actress Academy Award for her performance in Minari, wore a navy gown while receiving her award.
Leslie Odom Jr.
The star embodied an Oscars statue in his gold suit by Brioni and Cartier ring.
The One Night in Miami... actor was nominated for Best Actor in a Supporting Role and Best Original Song.
Alan Kim and Christina Oh
Alan Kim, 9, is seen here in a school uniform-inspired custom Thom Browne look. The pint-sized Minari actor was joined on the red carpet by the film's producer, Christina Oh.
Kim shared his adorable Oscars look on Instagram in a series of photos with his dog, Cream, before heading to the awards show on Sunday.
Andra Day
The 36-year-old actress dazzled in a custom Vera Wang number. She accessorized the look with over $2 million in Tiffany & Co. diamonds. Her beauty look included a nude lip and wearing her curls in a loose bun.
Day was a Best Actress nominee for her portrayal of Billie Holiday in The United States vs. Billie Holiday. Though she didn't win the Oscar, Day took home the 2021 Golden Globe Award for Best Actress – Motion Picture Drama for her performance.
Halle Berry
The Oscar winner donned a strapless gown by Dolce & Gabbana with diamond and rose gold rings by Ridano.
Her much shorter ‘do was one of the beauty highlights of the evening.
Laura Dern
The Big Little Lies actress stepped out in an Oscar de la Renta gown with Pomellato jewelry.
Dern took home the trophy for Best Supporting Actress in 2020 for her performance in Marriage Story.
Regina King
The Watchmen actress turned heads in a custom gown by Louis Vuitton, with Louis Vuitton sandals and Forevermark jewelry.
King was a presenter at the ceremony and earned an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress in 2019 for If Beale Street Could Talk.
Lakeith Stanfield
The actor did not disappoint in his custom Saint Laurent by Anthony Vaccarello.
Stanfield was nominated in the Best Supporting Actor category along with his Judas and teh Black Messiah co-star Daniel Kaluuya, who took home the award.
Tiara Thomas
Colman Domingo
The Ma Rainey's Black Bottom actor stood out at the Academy Awards, thanks to his bright fuchsia Versace suit. According to his Instagram, his Oscars outfit featured 4,500 precious Swarovski crystals and sequins and took an impressive 150 hours of embroidery work to complete.
Ma Rainey's Black Bottom, which is streaming on Netflix, ended up taking home two trophies this year, for Best Makeup and Hairstyling as well as Best Costume Design.
Margot Robbie
Florals for spring, while not groundbreaking, were perfected by the Birds of Prey actress in this fabulous Chanel frock. It's not the first time the Australian native has opted for Chanel at the Oscars. She previously wore navy blue vintage Chanel at the 2020 Oscars ceremony.
Robbie was one of the producers behind the 2021 Best Picture nominee Promising Young Woman, and has been nominated twice for her acting chops, earning an Academy Award Best Actress nomination for I, Tonya (2018) and Best Supporting Actress nomination for Bombshell (2019).
Steven Yeun
You can never go wrong with a classic, well-tailored tuxedo. The Walking Dead alum looked sleek in a Gucci tux for the star-studded affair in Los Angeles.
Yeun received a Best Actor nod for his role in Minari. Anthony Hopkins pulled off a shocking upset in the category, winning for his performance in The Father over the late Chadwick Boseman for his role in Ma Rainey's Black Bottom.
