Let the sequins and shine commence! On country music's big night, stars like Carrie Underwood, Halsey, Brandi Carlile and Kacey Musgraves brought their A-game to the 2019 CMA Awards red carpet at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville on Nov. 13. Here are our top looks that truly hit the high notes.
Carrie Underwood
Gold standard! The CMA Awards host glided onto the red carpet in a floor-length Elie Madi dress, which featured sheer paneling, gold embellishments and a long tulle train. She completed her look with Jimmy Choo shoes,
Jared Lehr earrings and rings from Loree Rodkin and Maxior.
Halsey
The "Graveyard" singer was the exact opposite of a nightmare in this rose-adorned gown by Nedo that, like her wavy lob, gave off major Old Hollywood vibes.
Jennifer Nettles
The Sugarland singer arrived on the red carpet in a chic white Christian Siriano pantsuit with an attached fuchsia pink train that reads "Play Our F*@#iN Records Please & Thank You" in bold, handwritten letters. The back of her suit jacket features the words "Equal Play" and the back of the dramatic train reveals a drawn portrait of a woman with the Venus symbol by artist Alice Mizrachi.
Hannah Brown
The Bachelorette babe and DWTS contestant looked regal in a white-tiled, belted ball gown by Atelier Zurha, which she glammed up with a sleek hairdo and a bright red lip.
Kelsea Ballerini
The "Peter Pan" singer showed off her toned abs in a sparkly mint cropped long-sleeved top and matching skirt with a thigh-high slit by RAISAVANESSA, which she paired with metallic T-strap heels.
Kacey Musgraves
The "Rainbow" singer opted for a playful look that paid homage to old school country costumes, shining brightly in a sunny yellow Valentino feathered frock with sequin details and nude patent leather pumps. She kept her long dark tresses sleek and straight and her makeup neutral.
Gigi Hadid
The model showed off her fashion prowess in a slinky silverly, subtly shimmery high-neck column maxi dress by Helmut Lang and white pointed-toe wedge boots. Her blonde tresses were styled in a soft, romantic wave. For jewelry, she rocked earrings by Graziela Gems and Melinda Maria and rings by Established and Nouvel Heritage.
Brandi Carlile
The GRAMMY winner's animal instincts were on display in a forest green Sanne London suit lined with cheetah print accents at the cuffs and pockets. Carlile paired bold pieces with a peach pussy-bow blouse by Gucci and tan suede Saint Laurent boots.
Maren Morris
The pregnant "Girl" singer didn't shy away from dramatics in a light blue ensemble designed by Honayda. The combo of the cropped top with billowy sleeves and a matching ball skirt showed off her burgeoning baby bump, and she even admitted to ET that her and husband Ryan Hurd wearing blue was to honor their first child, as the pair are expecting a baby boy.
Reese Witherspoon
The Morning Show star gave us New Year's Eve inspiration in this '80s-inspired, one-shouldered black dress by Saint Laurent, complete with plenty of accenting sequins. She let her shoulder do the talking by keeping the rest of her look simple, opting for silver Nikos Koulis earrings and rings and black pumps.
Lil Nas X
The "Old Town Road" rapper brought fashion with a capital F to his cowboy ensemble in a crystal-fringed western-style shirt, leather chap-style pants and embellished boots.
Carly Pearce
The "Closer to You" singer was a sequined stunner in a slinky, studded metallic Elie Saab dress and matching silver clutch and sandals.
Miranda Lambert
Pretty in pink! The "It All Comes Out in the Wash" singer's smile was as bright as her floral Tony Ward Couture dress, which she accessorized with pink metallic heels. She kept her long blonde locks down in loose waves and finished off her look with a smoky eye.
Jordan Davis
The "Take It From Me" singer looked incredibly dapper in a charcoal gray three-piece suit, partially unbuttoned white dress shirt and shiny black shoes.
Nicole Kidman
The Big Little Liars star was one fine feathered friend in a maroon number by Versace that featured plenty of sequins and a sweet floral pattern. A silky, bright red bucket bag and pink sandals helped accent the fun look.
Scotty McCreery
The American Idol alum brought a bit of shine to the red carpet with his dark suit that featured a metallic sheen, which looked quite nice with his black shirt and tie.
Lauren Bushnell
Accompanying her husband, Chris Lane, to the ceremony, the Bachelor alum would have made Belle very proud in this strapless, bold yellow dress that featured a full high-low skirt. She went jewelry-free, opting for simple gold sandals and neutral makeup look to complete her look.
RaeLynn
Much like Halsey, RaeLynn also went Old Hollywood, though her black velvet Tadashi Shoji gown and gloves also gave off vampy vibes. Gbgh jewelry, a Judith Leiber clutch and Imagine Vince Camuto heels completed her screen siren style.
Chris Lane
The newlywed put a unique spin on a classic tux, opting for a midnight blue brocade version, which he paired with a black button-up, bow tie and dress shoes.
Mickey Guyton
Guyton's tomato red pantsuit was anything but a heartbreak, especially with its sequin accents at the neckline and waist. Drop-down gem earrings, a ruby clutch and a gold cuff completed her look.
Old Dominion
These boys in the band proved that black suits can be anything but basic -- no small feat when all five of them put their own spins on the monochromatic aesthetic.
Sheryl Crow
This sequined, art deco-inspired maxi dress with a plunging neckline certainly made us happy!
Dan + Shay
Dan Smyers and Shay Mooney coordinated their black-and-white looks for the 2019 CMA Awards.
Reba McEntire
The music icon kept it classic in a floor-length black dress accentuated with sparkles and fur.
Ryan Hurd
Like his wife, Maren Morris, the dad-to-be wore blue to honor the arrival of his baby boy next spring. Hurd's take featured a midnight hue, from his Dolce&Gabbana tux to his dangerously unbuttoned shirt. A Cartier watch, Stephen Webster cufflinks and Giuseppe Zanotti boots completed his sharp look.
