At one point, all of these celebrities were living the lifestyle that comes with being rich and famous. But money doesn't always last forever, and these famous folks learned that the hard way.
Farrah Abraham
The Teen Mom star apparently has wild spending habits and lives a life of luxury, despite having severe money issues. It was reported that she was “flat broke.”
Lindsay Lohan
In 2010, it was reported that the Mean Girls star was facing a lien for $94,000 in unpaid taxes. She also owed $600,000 in credit card debt.
Teresa Giudice
The Real Housewives of New Jersey star is no stranger to financial issues. Teresa and her husband filed for bankruptcy in 2009 and said they were $11 million in debt. They were then indicted for fraud and were said to have hid assets in their bankruptcy filing. Her husband is currently serving his 41-month sentence after pleading guilty to fraud charges and will be deported to Italy when he's done.
Spencer Pratt
The husband of Heidi Montag isn't the best with his money. After the cancellation of The Hills, Spencer blew through $10 million due to exuberant spending.
Dorit & PK Kemsley
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star's husband has had quite the legal and financial issues over the years. In 2012, PK filed bankruptcy in the UK, and was sued in 2013 by the Bellagio Hotel and Casino for failing to pay back a $3.6 million marker.
Kate Gosselin
The mom of eight only had three episodes of her TV show air in 2017, making her bank account look grim. Plus, raising eight kids isn't cheap.
Kanye West
The rapper and fashion designer tweeted (and later deleted) in 2016 that he was $53 million in personal debt.
Tori Spelling
The Beverly Hills, 90210 actress and her husband were hit with a tax lien in 2016 for owing over $250,000 in unpaid state taxes. She was also sued by American Express for not paying her outstanding credit card bill of over $30,000.
Michael Jackson
The King of Pop was a music legend, but at the time of his death, he was nearly half a billion in debt.
Nicolas Cage
Back in 2010, the Mandy actor owed the IRS $14 million and was allegedly down a path of "financial ruin."
Fantasia Barrino
The American Idol winner was riding high on the singing competition show, but was forced to hand over her million-dollar mansion to the bank when she hit financial crisis.
50 Cent
In 2015, the rapper filed Chapter 11 bankruptcy. His debts and assets ranged between $10 million and $50 million.
Marvin Gaye
Back in 1976, the "Let’s Get It On" singer filed for bankruptcy after his divorce from wife Anna Gordy Gaye.
Cyndi Lauper
Back in 1981, the "Girls Just Want to Have Fun" singer had a falling out with her then-manager and was sued for $80,000. She was still a struggling musician back then and was forced to file for bankruptcy.
Johnny Depp
The Pirates of the Caribbean actor may have been the fifth highest-paid actor in 2016, but he's had some major financial issues. He alleged that his former management company mismanaged $400 million of his money, resulting in major losses.
Lisa Marie Presley
It’s hard to believe a descendant of Elvis Presley would ever struggle with money, but in February 2018 the singer-songwriter claimed to be $16 million in debt.
Tionne “T-Boz” Watkins

It was reported in March 2018 that the musician and widow of Kurt Cobain has more than half a million in unpaid taxes to her name.
MC Hammer
The "U Can’t Touch This" singer was worth over $33 million in 1991, but just a few years later he filed for bankruptcy in 1996.
Wayne Newton
The iconic Las Vegas entertainer filed for bankruptcy in 1992.
Toni Braxton
The "Un-Break My Heart" singer filed for bankruptcy in 2010, claiming to have debts between $10 million and $50 million.
Larry King
Although he is one of the best-known television and radio hosts, back in the day, Larry had major financial issues and filed for bankruptcy in 1978.
Dennis Rodman
In 2012, it was reported that the retired NBA player owed more than $800,000 in child support and spousal support to his ex-wife. He also owed hundreds of thousands in California taxes.
Willie Nelson
Back in 1990, the singer owed $32 million in tax debt. He’s since made light of his tax problems, even appearing in a commercial in 2003 for tax preparers H&R Block.
Stephen Baldwin
The youngest Baldwin brother admitted in 2013 that he had failed to pay taxes for 2008, 2009 and 2010. His tax debt totaled $400,000. In 2014, he paid off the taxes.
Mekhi Phifer
In 2014 it was reported that the 8 Mile actor filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy. He claimed to be $1.3 million in debt.
Gary Coleman
Despite being one of the highest paid actors on TV in the '80s, the late Diff'rent Strokes star filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy in 1999. His debt was roughy $72,000 and due to medical expenses.
Mike Tyson
In 2003, the former boxer was forced to file for bankruptcy, having squandered his $300 million net worth.
Meat Loaf
At one point in his career, the singer and musician was dealing with over 45 lawsuits which totaled over $80 million. In the late ‘80s, he filed a Chapter 11 bankruptcy to protect himself.
Chris Tucker
The comedian’s financial struggles over the years have been no laughing matter. The government filed a $3.5 million tax lien against him in 2009 for unpaid taxes in California. In 2010, it was reported that he owed more than $11 million in unpaid taxes.
Donald Trump
Although the 45th President of the United States has never personally filed for bankruptcy, at least four of his businesses and casinos have.
Antoine Walker

Scott Storch
The famous music producer, who has made successful tracks for Christina Aguilera and Beyoncé, used to live the good life in a $10.5 million mansion on a Miami Island. In 2008 it was reported that he owed over $500,000 in unpaid taxes.
Sinbad
The comedian and actor has filed for bankruptcy more than once. Sinbad reported that his debt came from his business expenses. When he filed for the second time, he was $11 million in debt.
Dionne Warwick
In 2013, the "I Say a Little Prayer" singer owed almost $10 million in back taxes and filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy.
Sarah, Duchess of York
The royal was nearly forced to declare bankruptcy after being severely in debt. In 2010, she was caught on tape accepting a bribe from a reporter who was undercover. The man told her he could get her out of her serious financial problems.
Jose Canseco
The former major league baseball player filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy in August 2012. His debt totaled about $1.7 million and he only had $21,000 in assets.
Teri Polo
On April 14, 2014, the Meet the Parents star filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy with a debt totaling around $1 million.
Janice Dickinson
The former supermodel was $1 million in debt from unpaid taxes and plastic surgery bills and declared bankruptcy back in 2013.
Francis Ford Coppola
The Godfather director began bankruptcy proceedings when his 1981 musical, One From the Heart, bombed.
DMX
In 2017, the rapper was charged by the IRS with tax fraud for owing over $1 million in tax liabilities.
Burt Reynolds
The late actor was Hollywood royalty, but after his divorce from ex-wife Loni Anderson, he filed for bankruptcy and was believed to be in financial ruin.
Kim Basinger
The Batman actress was sued for nearly $8 million after she backed out of the 1993 film Boxing Helena. She was forced to file for bankruptcy.
Gary Busey
In 2012, the actor filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy protection and claimed he was worth less than $50,000.
