Carrie Fisher and Her Beloved Dog Gary's Sweetest Moments

Adorable Gary is social media famous -- his Twitter handle boasts over 56,000 followers. Hours after Fisher died on Dec. 27, 2016, a heartbreaking photo of the sweet pup looking out a window was shared. "I'll still be waiting for you......." the tearjerking caption read.

Gary will clearly miss his mom, but their love for each other is still being remembered on the dog's Twitter account. This sweet photo of the pair was posted on Dec. 27 along with the caption: "Coolest dog ever posing with the coolest human ever #RIPCarrie #CarrieFisher."

The French bulldog sat by Fisher's side as she signed copies of her latest memoir, The Princess Diarist, at Barnes & Noble at The Grove in Los Angeles on Nov. 28, 2016.

Gary provided emotional support for Fisher, who suffered from bipolar disorder. They frequently made an adorable duo on red carpets, and the New York Film Festival screening of Bright Lights on Oct. 10, 2016, was no exception.

The adorable dog nearly stole the show from his mom as she spoke onstage during Wizard World Comic Con Chicago in Rosemont, Illinois, on Aug. 21, 2016.

Gary was obviously smitten with his mama, but he didn't mind getting to spend time with The Force Awakens star Daisy Ridley while Fisher was filming. "Watch out @carrieffisher I might have a new mommy," he jokingly tweeted on July 17, 2016.

Dueling dogs! The prolific writer's Star Wars co-star Mark Hamill made like his BFF and also brought his pup onstage when the two spoke on the Future Directors Panel at the Star Wars Celebration 2016 in London, England, on July 17.

Strike a pose! Fisher's daughter, Billie Lourd, joined her mom and Gary at the Absolutely Fabulous: The Movie world premiere in London on June 29, 2016.
