There are so many new fun movies and TV series that are coming out this winter and spring. Check out some of the new cinematic experiences of 2024!
'The Kardashians' Season 5
The Kardashians season 5 streams on Hulu on May 23, 2024. The Kardashians and the Jenners let you in on their lives and the ups and downs of dating, motherhood and careers.
'RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars'
RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars takes past contestants and has them compete again for the number one slot. The contestants go through design, runway looks and acting challenges to see who has what it takes to win. This show streams on Paramount+ on May 17.
'Bridgerton' Season 3, Part 1
Nicola Coughlan plays Penelope Featherington, who develops feelings for Colin Bridgerton, played by Luke Newton. This historical romance takes place in the 1800s in London. There is love as well as ups and downs that will keep you enthralled the entire season. Bridgerton Season 3, Part 1 streams on Netflix on May 16.
'Selling the OC' Season 3
Selling the OC is a reality TV show focusing on the lives of luxury real estate agents in Orange County, California. Brothers Jason and Brett Oppenheim -- and their Oppenheim Group in Los Angeles -- originally starred on Selling Sunset. Selling the OC, featuring the brothers and a new set of realtors, is streaming on Netflix.
'Unfrosted'
Jerry Seinfeld, Hugh Grant, Melissa McCarthy and Jim Gaffigan star in the comedy-drama Unfrosted. The movie takes place in 1963 when Kellogg's and Post wanted to be the first to change the history of breakfast. The film hits Netflix on May 3.
'A Man in Full'
Jeff Daniels stars in A Man In Full as Charlie Croker in this TV series drama. Charlie files for bankruptcy for his company and has to protect his business as others want to reap benefits of his demise. This series hit Netflix on May 2.
'Hacks' Season 3
In this comedy-drama, Jean Smart plays Deborah Vance and Hannah Einbinder stars as Ava, the head writer to comedian Deborah. The duo share funny and heartfelt moments, pushing each other into uncomfortable spaces they need to grow in. The series is available now on MAX.
'Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga'
This action post-apocalyptic is the prequel to Mad Max: Fury Road starring Anya Taylor-Joy as the Imperator Furiosa and Chris Hemsworth as Warlord Dementus. Imperator Furiosa is abducted from her home as a young girl, and in order to get back, she has to navigate the harshness of the Wasteland. The film is out in theaters on May 24.
'Dinner Budget Showdown'
Semi-Homemade star Sandra Lee is back on TV -- with more budget-friendly tips for your kitchen! Lee and co-host Jordan Andino are set to host Roku's Dinner Budget Showdown, a six-episode competition series where cost-cutting hacks are put to the test.
The network explains, "In each episode, a surprise guest chef creates an expensive meal that three home cooks must use as inspiration for their own meals, created on a budget. Who will make 'the best, least expensive dish' and win free groceries for a year?"
Expert chefs and guest hosts include Carla Hall, Joe Sasto, Stuart O'Keeffe, Mei Lin, Claudia Sandoval and Derrell Smith. Dinner Budget Showdown premieres May 3 on The Roku Channel.
'The Veil'
Elisabeth Moss plays a spy who comes across another fellow spy. Together, they work together to save lives. The Veil drops April 30 on Hulu.
'Challengers'
Zendaya plays Tashi, a tennis player who ends up getting an injury and decides to head down the path of coaching, where she meets her husband. She trains her husband, and to help motivate him, she has him play his old friend in a match. The film is centered around the trio navigating their ups and downs. Challengers hits theaters April 26.
'Under The Bridge'
This drama TV series stars Lily Gladstone as Cam Bentland and Riley Keough as Rebecca Godfrey. This is a true-crime series based on a girl who goes missing and her friends are blamed for her murder. This show was released April 17 on Hulu.
'The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare'
This action comedy war movie is based on a true story of Churchill's Secret Warriors: The Explosive True Story of the Special Forces Desperadoes of WWII book. This movie has a star-studded cast including Henry Cavill, Eiza González, Alan Ritchson, Alex Pettyfer, Hero Fiennes Tiffin, Babs Olusanmokun, Henry Golding and Cary Elwes. This movie was released in theaters on April 13.
'Baby Reindeer'
Richard Gadd plays Donny Dunn in Baby Reindeer. The character is based on Gadd's real-life experiences. Jessica Gunning plays Martha, the stalker of Donny who forces him to face his traumas. The drama is an emotional rollercoaster that began streaming on Netflix on April 11.
'American Horror Story: Delicate Part 2'
Emma Roberts plays Anna Victoria Alcott in American Horror Story: Delicate Part 2. This anthology is a creepy story of an actress trying to get pregnant and the scary things that happen to her along her journey. This series was released on April 3 on Hulu.
'Immaculate'
Sydney Sweeney stars in Immaculate as a nun from America who movies to Italy to continue her religious journey with a convent. On her new path, everything starts to take a turn for the worst as scary things start happening. Immaculate was released in theaters on March 22.
'Road House'
Jake Gyllenhaal plays Dalton in Road House. He is a former UFC fighter that decides to become a bouncer in the Florida Keys. His life takes a turn of events and it's not all it is cracked up to be. This movie was released on Amazon Prime on March 22.
'Freaknik: The Wildest Party Never Told'
This documentary shows the beginning of Freaknik in 1983, a gathering hosted by HBCU students during Spring Break in Atlanta, Georgia.This party was massive in the 80's and 90's and grew each year. This documentary is released on Hulu on March 12, 2024.
'Monkey Man'
Dev Patel stars in Monkey Man as Kid (Bobby) as a boxer in an underground ring in India. He trains there to make his revenge on Baba and Rana, powerful figures who caused the death of Kid's mother as a young boy. Monkey Man is released on March 11 in theaters.
'Love Lies Bleeding'
Kristen Stewart plays Lou, a gym manager who falls in love with Jackie, a body builder. Their love gets tangled up in violence thanks to Lou's family. This movie was released on March 8, 2024.
'Ricky Stanicky'
This comedic film follows three friends who pull one over on their wives by making up a friend named Ricky Stanicky to get out of things they don't want to do. When they run into a hiccup, the guys must hire someone to play Ricky Stanicky (John Cena) to help them keep up their little lie. The movie was released March 7, 2024 on Prime Video.
'Dune: Part 2'
Paul Atreides, played by Timothée Chalamet, becomes friends with the Fremen on Arrakis, where he meets Chani, played by Zendaya. His mission is to seek justice for his family and the Fremen people who have faced hardships through House Harkonnen. The movie was released in theaters on March 1.
'Mr. and Mrs. Smith'
Donald Glover and Maya Erskine play Mr. and Mrs. Smith with a whirlwind of emotional and action-packed episodes that keep viewers on the edge of their seat. Plus, the surprise ending will keep you wanting more. The series was released Feb. 2, 2024 on Amazon Video.
'Mean Girls'
This 2024 Mean Girls puts a musical spin on the classic 2004 version. The story follows Cady Heron, who moves to a new school and makes new friends. With some hysterical hiccups along the way, she must learn to navigate the pressures of high school. This movie was released on Jan. 12, 2024 and is available on Paramount+.
'The Brothers Sun'
The Brothers Sun is a crime thriller staring Michelle Yeoh as Mama Sun, Sam Song Li as Bruce Sun, Justin Chien as Charles Sun. Bruce finds out his family is a big crime family and he has a long lost brother named Charles. Things start to become complicated once Charles comes back into his life. This show began streaming on Netflix on Jan. 4.
