Whitney Houston Sparkles in her final big-screen role; The Men in Black are back; Shia LaBeouf and Tom Hardy are Lawless; Step Up Revolution; ParaNorman; Hot in Cleveland's third season and more this week in new releases.

The late, great Whitney Houston shines opposite American Idol winner Jordin Sparks for this uplifting, Motown-era musical drama. Set in 1960s Detroit, Sparkle follows the title character; Sparkle (Jordin), a music prodigy struggling to rise through the ranks of the music business. On the verge of stardom in a singing group with her two sisters, dramatic family issues threaten to tear them apart. Whitney plays the musical trio's mother, while Mike Epps plays a wealthy comedian who woos Sparkle's sister into a drug-filled and abusive relationship on their way to the top. The film also stars Derek Luke, Cee-Lo Green, Carmen Ejogo, Tika Sumpter and Omari Hardwick.

Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones are back for the long-awaited third installment of the Men in Black franchise. It's clear that Agents J (Smith) and K (Jones) are feeling too old to battle unwieldy aliens day in and day out, but when history is somehow rewritten and K ceases to exist, J must travel back in time to put things right. With the fate of the planet at stake, J literally dives right into 1969 and teams up with a younger version of K (played by a pitch-perfect Josh Brolin) to save his partner, the agency, and the future of humankind. Once again directed by Barry Sonnenfeld and executive-produced by Steven Spielberg, Men in Black 3 also stars Emma Thompson, Jemaine Clement and Michael Stuhlbarg.

Shia LaBeouf and Dane Dehaan co-star in this bootlegging action-drama opposite Guy Pearce, Tom Hardy, Jason Clarke, Gary Oldman, Jessica Chastain and Mia Wasikowska. Lawless tells the true story of the infamous Bondurant Brothers -- three bootlegging siblings who made a run for the American dream in Prohibition-era Virginia. The brothers' loyalty is put to the test as the authorities close in and corrupt officials want a piece of the action. The movie is based on Matt Bondurant's novel The Wettest County in the World.

Are you ready to Step Up again? This time it's not a dance sensation – it's a revolution! Set against the vibrant backdrop of Miami, Step Up: Revolution finds Emily (Kathryn McCormick) arriving in Miami with aspirations of becoming a professional dancer. She soon falls in love with Sean (Ryan Guzman), a young man who leads a dance crew in elaborate, cutting-edge flash mobs, called "The Mob." But when a wealthy business man threatens to develop The Mob's historic neighborhood and displace thousands of people, Emily must band together with Sean and The Mob to turn their performance art into protest art, and risk losing their dreams to fight for a greater cause. Also starring Misha Gabriel and Peter Gallagher.

Zombies and all sorts of supernatural creatures overtake a small town, and only a misunderstood schoolboy can save its citizens in this stop-motion comedy thriller from the animation company that brought you Coraline. ParaNorman features the voice of Kodi Smit-McPhee (Let Me In) as Norman, a misunderstood local boy who can speak with the dead – his only real friends. When a centuries-old curse unleashes zombies, ghosts and witches, can the young ghoul whisperer's talents save his village from being damned? The film also features the vocal talents of Anna Kendrick, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Leslie Mann, Casey Affleck, John Goodman, Jeff Garlin, Tempestt Bledsoe and Bernard Hill.

The Twilight Saga vamp Ashley Greene has more than werewolves to fear in her new supernatural thriller. In The Apparition, Ashley plays one-half of young couple Kelly and Ben (Sebastian Stan), whose home is being haunted by a malevolent presence that was accidentally conjured during a university parapsychology experiment. With nowhere to run, their last hope is an expert in the supernatural (Harry Potter star Tom Felton), but even with his help it may already be too late…

The hot ladies of Cleveland are back for more fun and laughs. Valerie Bertinelli, Jane Leeves, Wendie Malick and Betty White headline the hit TV Land sitcom in the third season, which finds the ladies meeting new and old flames and continuing to live life to the fullest. Hot guest stars include Kathie Lee Gifford, Sandra Bernhard, Laura San Giacomo, Gilles Marini, Sean Hayes, Don Rickles, Jennifer Love Hewitt, Joe Jonas, Huey Lewis, John Mahoney and Susan Lucci.
