The CBS series is doing something a little different this time, with celebrities going undercover to discover talent.
Undercover Boss is back May 11, but not like you've seen it before.
Say hello to Undercover Boss: Celebrity Edition. While the eight seasons so far have featured CEOs and company presidents going undercover and working alongside entry-level employees to learn more about the companies they run and manage, this first season of Celebrity Edition will feature four celebrities who go undercover to discover talent that has yet to be recognized and help make their dreams come true.
During Season 8, Undercover Boss ran two special celebrity episodes featuring musician Darius Rucker and celebrity chef Marcus Samuelsson. But this new first season will include four celebrity episodes.
CBS on Thursday announced the four celebrities will be: three-time Olympic gold medal gymnast Gabby Douglas, Tony-winning actress Idina Menzel, YouTube star Bethany Mota and NFL legend Deion Sanders.
“Imagine if you idol could walk a mile in your shoes, recognize your special ability and change your life forever?" said Greg Goldman, executive producer of the new series. "This is what you’ll see this season on the celebrity edition of Undercover Boss – along with state-of-the-art disguises, trickier undercover situations – and the greatest payoffs yet.”
State-of-the-art-disguises, by the way, that take an average of two-and-a-half hours to put on.
The series premieres May 11 at 8 p.m. ET/PT with Douglas going undercover to discover talented gymnasts and coaches.
