'Fallen Idols: Nick and Aaron Carter': Aaron's Disturbing Knife Incident Revealed (Exclusive)

'Fallen Idols: Nick and Aaron Carter' explores the controversies around the older brother and personal battles of the younger.

One of Aaron Carter's former staffers is recalling a scary moment with the late pop star. In ET's exclusive clip of the upcoming finale of Fallen Idols: Nick and Aaron Carter, Aaron's one-time team member revealed an incident with a knife.

Aaron, the son of Jane Carter and Robert Carter, died in 2022 when he drowned after taking alprazolam, which is a generic form of Xanax, and inhaling difluoroethane. He was 34.

Before that, at the height of Aaron's fame, he was touring and performing to huge crowds of excited fans.

"He did a great job, but it was grueling," Aaron's former team member says of the singer's performances in the sneak peek clip. "He had six shows a week. His family, I guess, said they were going to go on a family vacation when Aaron was done. He was very much looking forward to that."

However, after one show, Aaron "found out that his parents and his siblings were already on the family vacation without him."

"He was so angry at his family. He then picked up a knife and put it to the side of his head, and we were all like, 'Dude, what are you doing? Just put it down, put it down, put it down, put it down,'" the man said. "And then his bodyguard went up to him and took it. That was one of the scariest moments that I've ever had working for Aaron."

In addition to Aaron's parents, the singer's family was made up of his brother, Nick Carter, his twin, Angel Carter, and two other sisters, Bobbie Jean Carter and Leslie Carter, both of whom have died

On top of Aaron's personal struggles, the docuseries is set to cover the multiple sexual assault allegations against Nick. The former Backstreet Boys member has denied the allegations against him, even calling one claim "a factual impossibility."

Fallen Idols: Nick and Aaron Carter continues Tuesday, May 28 with the finale from 9 to 11 p.m. ET/PT on ID and streaming on Max.
